Mr. CEO, Please Stay Away from Me!
Chapter 2
"Oh, really? Don't lie to me?"
"How could it be? Well, I'll have a video talk with you." After that, I turned on the camera, stood in front of Mr. Bright, and put my arm around his shoulder. Smiling, I said, "Look, how could we lie to you?" After that, I glanced at Mr. Bright. Looking at me, he blushed shyly.
Seeing that his mother was unconvinced, I was hot-headed. Holding Mr. Bright's chin, I kissed him on the lips.
In less than a second, his mother quickly hung up the phone, but at this time, I had no intention of letting go of Mr. Bright.
While I kissed him, memory of my first love surged in my mind...
Seeing that his mother had hung up the phone, Mr. Bright pushed me away anxiously.
I asked calmly, "Mr. Bright, how much are you going to raise my salary?"
Unexpectedly, Mr. Bright suddenly turned his back on me and waved at me. I thought to myself, "I can't just let the luck slip by me like this."
I walked up to him and said, "Mr. Bright, how about by 333 dollars?"
He looked back at me with a flushed face. Well, it seemed that it was the first time that he had been kissed?
Thinking of this, I moved further and said, "So you agree, right? Then I'll go to the finance department to modify the contract now?"
I was certain about this. After all, as the idlest person in the company, I am good at spreading gossip. Given this, my boss would surely consent to my request.
"Don't worry. I'll keep my mouth shut about what happened today."
"Go ahead." As soon as Mr. Bright finished speaking, I left his office with a smile and headed for the finance department.
Along the way, I was confident and overjoyed.
After signing the contract, I went back to my desk and looked at a photo under my keyboard. The man in the photo was my first love. His name was Pedro Moore. After graduation, he left without saying goodbye.
For this reason, I always took this photo with me to remind myself that I couldn't lose my mind in love
The reason why I chose to work at this company back then was that the boss looked like Pedro. That was all.
I casually put the photo in the drawer and continued to copy the work schedule of last week. Just like that, a day passed.
I sat there happily, waiting to get off work.
It was 16:58 now, two minutes to go before getting off work. Packing up my bag, I was ready to clock out at 17 p.m. and go home to eat!
Finally, the time had come. I was the first one to run out of the office. But Mr. Bright stopped me, saying, "Come to my office, Hollie Cox."
My face suddenly changed. I turned around and walked towards him sullenly.
"What can I do for you?" I looked at him with a smile.
"How do you do your job? Come with me!" After saying that, he went back to his office, and I followed him in confusion.
In the office, tension prevailed.
"Do me a favor?"
I was confused.
"I will pay you."
My eyes lit up.
"What's the matter? I'll go all out for it."
"Accompany me home for a meal?" Mr. Bright looked at me calmly and took a sip of coffee.
"A meal?"
"Yes, as my girlfriend," he said as he took out an envelope from the cabinet and handed it to me.
