Mistaken Identity: My Fury Unleashed
Chapter 4
Pain stabbed through my abdomen.
A cold sweat drenched me as I curled up on the floor.
I was clutching my belly, trying to protect the little life in my womb.
Desperately, I begged, "I'm pregnant. Please, take me to the hospital. I'll forget all this happened."
Emily's smirk twisted into a sneer. "What?! You dare to be pregnant? Trying to sneak into the Harris family through your baby, huh?"
She commanded them to drag me up and slammed me down onto the spiked chair.
The spikes tore into my flesh as they pressed down relentlessly, trying to pin me to the seat.
Emily cackled over the din, "Ancient folks had the right idea—custom-made for mistresses like you. Still fancy seducing men now?"
They tied me down with ropes to prevent any escape.
My pain seemed to delight them even more.
Shoving the camera in my face, the streamer announced, "And we're live! Today's lesson - how not to be a homewrecker!"
I cried out, weak yet furious, "Have you lost your minds? Breaking in over lies, is this a robbery now?"
Emily slapped me hard, her voice scornful, "You've got some nerve, talking back to the main woman in front of me, you little homewrecker!"
"I'm the one who's supposed to be meeting Chris' family as his bride. Whatever you've taken from him, you're going to pay it back."
With that, Emily grabbed a decorative piece nearby and threw it at me.
The crowd around her roared their approval, "Teach this little adulteress a lesson!"
"Make sure she never messes around again, or better yet, let's rid society of one more nuisance!"
"If no one's teaching her a lesson, let's do it live! Folks, got a homewrecker bothering you? Just hit the yellow icon and book us!"
The live comments surged, full of vindictive support for the streamers.
Donations and gifts streamed in, propelling the broadcast to the top of the charts.
Fueled by their own grudges, viewers seemed eager to reach through the screen and join the fray.
The women went wild, destroying every famous and expansive antique and artwork in sight.
Emily ripped apart a crystal necklace I had intended to gift her, her eyes glinting maliciously.
"You think you deserve luxury? After leeching so much from Chris, and now carrying his child..."
I dodged the objects she hurled at me, fixing her with a fierce glare, "How many times must I tell you—you've got it all wrong! Is there no justice in your eyes?"
"Justice?" She scoffed.
She advanced and punched me in the stomach.
"I am the justice! Heard of Chris' real sister, the business queen? She likes me and backs me all the way!"
