Chapter 2

I shot down the possibility immediately. It was impossible.

For my sake, he stood up against his entire family and had given up on them just so we could leave Ivoneu together. I was sure he would not betray me.

“Devin is my husband. He is certainly not your boyfriend. There must have been some kind of misunderstanding. He’s going to be here soon. We can ask him in person.”

Upon hearing this, Amora stepped harder on the back of my hand with the tip of her heels. Her scowl was grim.

“You sure are smug about going on a date with my boyfriend on Valentine’s Day, aren’t you?

“I’m getting to strip you naked so everyone can see your true form—a shameless fox!”

She seemed to have transformed into the devil upon reaching this note.

Then, her laughter turned sadistic while she commanded her group, “Strip her!”

Countless pairs of hands seized me and started tearing at my clothes. I used what strength I had to put my hand up to guard against them, but it was no use.

It did not take long before my dress was ripped off. I was naked as the day I was born in public view.

Amora struck a vicious blow against me again while crying out, “I didn’t think you’d have such a good figure. That explains how you managed to seduce Devin and even got yourself knocked up by him.”

I tried to cover my naked body, but she pried my arm away. “Let everyone take a good look at what you are—a disgusting homewrecker, a fox! Let’s see if anyone still wants you now!”

Filled with despair, tears gushed uncontrollably from my eyes.

Amora laughed manically. “Look! The shameless vixen is crying!”

Her friends mocked me as well, “Let’s see if she ever dares to spread her leg again to seduce someone else’s man!”

“I’m going to take a picture and post it online so the world knows what happens to homewreckers like her!”

My vision had turned blur from crying. Despite that, I have carved all of their faces into my memory.

I declared severely, “You’re all going to regret this! You will pay for this!”

Amora laughed roaringly at my words. “Pay? What’s a lowly homewrecker like you going to do to me, anyway?

“Were you hoping to cling to another man using your looks? Alright, I’ll disfigure you so no man will ever look your way again!”

One of the girls grabbed a knife off the dining table and handed it to Amora.

Upon realizing how sadistic Amora was, many people who had crowded around to check out the commotion dispersed from the scene. They were terrified that Amora would make them one of her victims, too.

She dangled the knife threateningly in front of me, but I was not the slightest bit scared. Nothing could faze me any more than the prospect of losing my child to their ruthless assaults.

Somewhere in the dizzying commotion, I heard a familiar ringtone. It was Devin calling me.

I looked at the display of my phone and felt a burst of hope igniting inside me. With what strength I had left, I reached for the phone.

Just as I came close to grazing it, Amora stomped on the back of my hand.

I glared at her viciously. “You said Devin was your boyfriend? In that case, why don’t you pick up the call and ask him?”

Amora sneered, “Did you think I’m scared of you?”

With that, she picked up the phone.

I watched as her fingers glided across the screen. I could feel my heartstrings stretch taut when it looked like she was going to pick up.

I knew that if I screamed for help the moment the call connected, Devin would rush to the scene and rescue me.

However, she hung up on him before glowering at me again. “Don’t even think about crying for help.”

She then tossed the phone behind her. “Since you have seduced him until he would break up with me, I know he would help you if I answered the call.

“But just wait until I disfigure you! Watch how he comes crawling back to me then!”
