Chapter 3

Unfortunately, Victoria refused to obey.

It was not until before I entered school that she found out she was pregnant. Mrs. Sterling, who was eager to have a grandchild, forced Victoria to marry me.

I was so stupid at that time. In order to marry the person I loved and to personally take care of what I thought was the fruit of my love, I even gave up Stanford University, which I had been dreaming of.

Now the gossip photos only show my blurred profile, and the biggest suspicious point is the torn dress.

As long as I don't admit that it was Victoria who tore it, who can do anything to me?

Ethan looked at me calmly and became a little uncertain:

"Are you serious that nothing happened between me and my sister?"

I shook my head calmly.

"What do you want to happen to us?"

Ethan suddenly looked furious:

"You're dreaming! Then explain to me why you and my sister were in the same hotel? Why are there so many red marks on my sister's body? How did your dress get torn?"

Ethan still has some brains, but not much.

I glanced at Victoria who was walking over and shrugged:

"It was my birthday last night. Isn't it normal for me to get drunk and sleep in a hotel? Isn't it normal for me to get so excited about getting admitted to Stanford University that I got drunk and cut my dress to pieces?"

"As for why my sister also slept in that hotel, you have to ask her! How would I know about her affairs?"

"Besides, there are many mosquitoes in the summer, so it's not surprising to get some bites on your body. Ethan, why do you always think about such messy things? You should watch less pornographic garbage!"

"Sister, do you think I'm right?"

Victoria, who was cueed by me, rubbed her hands repeatedly, and her eyes, like deep pools, were brewing deep meanings that I could not understand.

"Sister, is what he said true? Why do I feel like your wounds don't look like mosquito bites?"

Ethan poked at the red mark on Victoria's neck, trying to find evidence that I had touched his sister.

Victoria pointed at the five fingerprints on my face and asked Ethan:

"You hit him?"

Since Victoria usually favors me, Ethan looked embarrassed:

"I'm just afraid that he will make a mistake. It's his fault for causing you to be hotly discussed and laughed at!"

"If that brat really eats you up and runs away, where will the face of my Sterling family be? I'm giving him a shot of prevention!"

Victoria said coldly:

"Ethan, who gave you permission to hit someone? Where is the upbringing of my Sterling family? I'll punish you by not letting you go out for three days!"

By deciding to stay away from the Sterling family, I no longer had to please Ethan.

I thought Victoria would definitely help me clear myself of this matter, so I couldn't help but sneer at Ethan:

"Ethan, do you think my sister is someone I can bully?"

"Victoria is such a tough woman, I don't know who will bully whom..."

Unexpectedly, Victoria touched the bite mark and suddenly said:

"You didn't?"

Her pointed words made my eyebrows twitch.

It wasn't me who drugged her, nor was it me who pushed her down. Now I'm trying my best to distance myself from the matter, but she's refusing to cooperate.

"Victoria, you're joking. I wouldn't dare bully you even if I had a hundred guts!"

Thinking about everything my daughter and I went through in my previous life, I just wanted to get away from Victoria as soon as possible.

Ethan's suspicious eyes switched between me and Victoria:

"There's something wrong with you two!"

Victoria and I denied it in unison:

"No!"

Victoria's eyes flashed with surprise, then she calmed down.

I limped away.

Victoria grabbed my arm:

"Go to the hospital!"

The tone of voice was full of unwillingness to refuse.

I was so burned by her sudden touch that I immediately pulled my hand away.
