Chapter 4

Ramona covered her mouth and laughed, as if she was listening to a funny story.

“Belinda, I will give you one last chance. If you stop here, I will pretend that this incident never happened. If you have those crooked thoughts again and want to overturn the verdict and avenge your sister, then don’t blame me putting these videos online and letting everyone see how your sister is a slut, huh?”

I was filled with grief and anger, vomited a mouthful of blood and fainted.

When I woke up again, I found myself thrown on the side of the road.

I walked toward my sister’s ward like a zombie.

I met many doctors along the way and they were shocked by my bloody appearance.

They surrounded me and wanted to take me to the hospital for rescue.

I pushed them away as if I couldn’t see them. “Sister, I want to go find my sister…”

I turned a deaf ear to the doctor’s reprimand. Now I just wanted to see my sister. They had no choice but to give me a sedative.

When I woke up again, I found that my sister and I were lying in the same ward.

The doctor on duty couldn’t help sighing when he saw us like this.

“I don’t know what sin you committed. How could two good girls be tortured like this?”

My sister cried so hard that she wanted to touch my head, but she couldn’t even get out of bed.

I spoke weakly. “Sister, why has the world become like this? We are obviously the victims.”

My sister couldn’t speak with an oxygen mask on and could only cry desperately.

“Tell me, when parents and brothers sacrificed themselves, would they think of their daughters and sisters who were tortured like this? Sister, it would be great if our parents and brothers were still here. If they were still here, would we not be bullied?”

I dragged my wounded body and walked sadly to my sister’s side.

I picked up the box that had been placed in the bedside table.

It was full of medals and red books that parents and brothers had exchanged their lives for.

“When they sent back the ashes of our parents and brother, they clearly said that they would help us if there was any problem. But why, when we were harmed to this point and had nowhere to turn to, no one showed up?”

As I watched, a tear from the corner of my eye fell on the medal that symbolized first-class merit.

I made up my mind and decided to do this last thing for my sister.

If it still didn’t work, I would drag Ramona and Frederick to hell and never let them live happily.

I insisted on taking my sister out of the hospital despite all the doctors’ obstructions.

I carried her on my back, staggering.

I walked step by step to the door of the city government.

Looking at the big red characters “Serve the People” written on the gate, under the party emblem, tears flowed down my face.

I put my sister on the ground and held the medal in both hands.

I shouted loudly, “In broad daylight, Frederick colluded with the mistress to kill my sister!”

My shouting attracted many security guards, who thought I was here to cause trouble and shouted to drive me away.

“Go away, do you know where this is? Hurry up and leave.”

“If you want to cause trouble, you don’t have to choose a place. Believe it or not, I will lock you up in the police station for two days!”

I turned a deaf ear to their threats.

The security guard saw that he couldn’t scare me and immediately winked at his colleague next to him.

“Hurry up and take her away! The car of the municipal party secretary will come in soon. If it is hit, we will lose our jobs!”

When they heard it, they got anxious and hurriedly came up to drag me away. I held the box of medals tightly.

“I am here to appeal for justice, I am here to appeal for justice!”

“Do you think this is ancient times? You are still appealing for justice? If you have grievances, go to the police. If you don’t leave, don’t blame us for being rude!”

I was dragged on the ground and my back was rubbed by the floor and it hurt.

They didn’t dare touch my sister, fearing that someone might die, so they could only carry her aside.

No! No! I couldn’t miss this opportunity!

I struggled desperately and the security guard was careless for a moment and I broke free.

He saw me trying to run inside again and kicked me in the back in a rage.

I fell to the ground and my chin was bleeding.

The security guard trotted over. “If you don’t accept it, you will be punished!”

He was about to take action, but suddenly a whistle sounded behind him.
