Chapter 1

A she-wolf with bruises everywhere, wearing almost nothing, and hugging her knees in the middle of the cell, appeared the alpha's sight after walking inside the prison.

Huge changes in the physical appearance of the lady werewolf were noticeable. Her chubby cheeks before now protruded. Her beautiful body then was now skinny.

"Long time no see, my love," the alpha greeted.

The she-wolf didn't move an inch to greet him back. She kept her gaze on the dusty floor. She tasted blood in her mouth for biting her lips.

The alpha hissed at her reaction. "Don't you want to ask about how Cynthia is doing?" Sarcasm was always hinted at in his voice every time he talked to her.

The provoked lady lifted her head sharply. Her movements danced with the wind, making the alpha almost not see how she reached the bars in a millisecond.

“Fuck you, Salazar!” Adelia gripped the silver grill and harshly pushed it with raging eyes. Her sharp fangs appeared like she was ready to attack the man from the other side of the jail room if given a chance, only to groan in pain when the silver metal burned her skin after she had contact with it.

Salazar, the Silver Moon Pack’s alpha, laughed hideously at the helpless lady inside the dungeon made of the finest silvers.

The sight of Adelia, fuming with anger, was just satisfying in his eyes. He smirked at her. "I didn't do anything wrong, my love," he teased her.

Adelia's wolf, Lucia, took over her due to the intense anger that she felt. She banged the grills, but the silver bars caused her bruises and pain. Thus, she ended up keeping a distance from it and growled at Salazar instead.

"Seems like you've weakened, my love," Salazar commented. He licked his lips languidly and bore his eyes to his former Luna. "I'm so sad seeing you like this." He looked away and frowned, faking a sad expression on his face. But seconds later, he returned his gaze to her and laughed demonically. "Kidding aside, Adelia. Our daughter is in good hands. I just need to train her not to become a devil like you."

Adelia returned in her human form. The Moon Goddess knew how much she wanted to strangle Salazar at this very moment. But these silver bars were preventing her from doing so. "How can you do something like that for your own daughter, Salazar? I'm not the devil here! You are!" She burst out.

"My, my, my." Salazar chuckled at his words. "Coming from the werewolf who did nothing but to kill half of her pack's members. Don't you say you've already forgotten how you massacred my werewolves a decade ago, Adelia?" It was now his turn to show his anger to the she-wolf. The scene was still fresh in his mind like it just happened yesterday. The fresh blood and his werewolves lying on the ground with unrecognizable appearances was marked on his mind. And it was making his blood boil everytime he remembered about it.

Salazar unconsciously showed his fangs. "Don't tell me you've forgotten about that, Adelia," his voice thundered inside the dungeon.

But it was not enough to scare the shit out of Adelia. She rather met his burning eyes with hers. "How many times do I have to tell you that it wasn't my fault? Your pack turned their back against me!" Adelia yelled. She would never do a gruesome thing if only they didn’t start it.

"It's because you're cursed!" Salazar shouted back. His wolf, Thomas, wanted to get out of him but he managed to control him.

Adelia was silenced by the alpha's words.

"That magical blood running in your veins is a curse, Adelia! That made you kill hundreds of werewolves years ago!" Salazar pierced his eyes on the speechless werewolf.

Adelia was too stunned to speak for herself. She started to ask the Moon Goddess.

'Is he really my mate before, Goddess? Why didn't I feel any remorse from him after he led me to this situation? Why is he the first one to hate on me when that happened? Why did he immediately close his eyes and ears for my explanation before?' she asked in her mind.

She was forsaken by the alpha before the moment she was thrown out into this dungeon. But she didn't know why she kept on hurting inside whenever Salazar came to visit her.

"Why, Adelia? Are you already regretting what you've done before?" Salazar asked her bitterly for her silence.

Opposite to what she felt, Adelia lifted her gaze to Salazar and gave him a smirk. "Why would I regret something that I was bound to do?" She even raised an eyebrow at him.

Salazar's anger fueled up that made him kick the bars. Then he pointed his finger on her. "Then don't regret everything that I will do with Cynthia. She will face the punishment for having a devil mother like you!" he exclaimed before walking out the dungeon.

"Don't you dare, Salazar! I swear to the depths of the red blood moon, I will come back and finish all of you if you hurt my daughter!" Adelia shouted at the leaving figure.

She felt exhausted and fell on her knees. The thought of her 15-year-old daughter, Cynthia, receiving the punishment that was never for her, was already killing her slowly.

Why did she need to be the one to receive this so-called magical blood?

Her life was fine before. She, Salazar, and their baby Cynthia were having a good life together with the Silver Moon pack, not until the pack members discovered the magical blood running in her veins.

She was about to explain to Salazar what happened. But she was immediately thrown out to her temporary cell. Salazar was raging in anger for her. And no explanations he accepted from her.

The remaining werewolves in the pack were relieved when Alpha Salazar himself sent his mate to prison. They were terrified of what more Adelia could do with her magical blood. So it was better for the cursed Luna to be held captive. All of them, including the alpha, believed that Adelia was a cursed werewolf sent by the Goddess to spread chaos.

And that's what Salazar didn't want to happen.

So to make sure that Adelia would have no chance of escaping, Salazar ordered his werewolves to create a dungeon that Adelia couldn't escape. And before she was finally transferred to the cell of silver, Salazar rejected her as his mate.

Adelia accepted the rejection and the punishment because she understood that it was Salazar's duty to keep putting his pack on priority rather than his. And she knew how he loved his pack more than his life. She stayed in prison for years, accepting the curses and anger of the pack for what she'd done. She was willing to stay there for as long as she could if it was the only way to make up for the lives that she took.

But she would never accept that they would include her daughter, Cynthia, for the sin that she did nothing about.

"Wait for mother, Cynthia. I will make sure that we'll make everyone pay for the things they've done to you once I get out of this hell," she whispered to the wind.
