From Virtual to Real: Marrying the Man Who Has been Online for Three Years

After three years of dating online, Joyce convinces me to finally demand a photo from my elusive boyfriend. When he repeatedly declines, I playfully tease him, asking if he is secretly a bald, middle-aged man. Instantly, my phone explodes with a barrage of photos showcasing his incredibly toned chest and abdominal muscles. Challenging me with a smirk, he asks if I am satisfied. Smiling, I text back that they look so perfect, the only way to believe they are real is to touch them myself.

Chapter 4

I was stunned to find that it was Howard. He glanced at me and Joyce and then asked, "No table for you? Do you want to join us?"

Before I could say anything, Joyce said, "That will be nice, if you don't mind!"

Howard smiled. "Of course I don't mind. The more people, the more fun."

After a while, Howard took us to his table. There were his two other roommates, one with short straight hair, and the other with yellow hair.

And most coincidentally, my online boyfriend was sitting at that table!

I was exactly looking for him! Howard was a big help!

I wanted to sit next to my boyfriend, but Howard gently pushed me to his side, "Take a seat."

Joyce was a social butterfly. So we quickly got to know them, and we knew that the fat boy's name was Calvin.

Finally, I knew his real name.

Thinking of this, I glanced at the "my cyber love", who was eating and drinking next to me like a horse. Then in a strange tone, I said, "Calvin, what a special name."

He blushed slightly and whispered, "Is that so?"

Just as I was about to speak, I heard Howard ask, "Then do you think whose name is more special, me or him?"

Where did the sudden jealousy come from?

I didn't feel anything wrong but said, "My heart for my love will never change, so I guess Little Stone is more special."

I was also trying to imply Calvin not to bury his head only in the bowl. Our relationship was going to fail!

Unexpectedly, Calvin's expression did not change at all. On the contrary, Howard smiled and said, "Oh, I see."

There was a hint of doting in Howard's smile, which made me dazed for a moment. I told myself in my heart, "Olivia, you have a boyfriend. Even if he lied to you, you can't flirt with others, before you break up with him!"

I glanced at Joyce who enjoyed the barbecue so much next to me and silently apologized to her in my heart. I was going to use her as a shield.

"By the way, there are all kinds of guys in your dorm! Is there anyone single? Joyce is still single."

  Joyce was speechless suddenly.

The eyes of the yellow-haired man and the other lit up. Calvin said with a silly smile, "They are both single."

"So you and Howard are not?" I asked.

Calvin nodded and said, "Yes, Howard and his girlfriend have been dating for three years. They love each other very much! My girlfriend and I are childhood sweethearts."

I didn't notice his first sentence at all. My mind was shocked by the words "childhood sweetheart"!

Like a bolt from the blue, I stared blankly at him!

He actually had a childhood sweetheart! Scumbag! He had a girlfriend but lied to me online!

Obviously, Joyce was also furious. She was about to slam the table, but I stopped her. I forced a smile and said to Howard, "I forgot to turn off the gas at home. We gotta go first. I'll transfer the money to you later."

Howard stood up, wanting to go after us, but the boy with short straight hair began to say, "Bro, you are being weird today. If you continue being like this, I'll tell your girlfriend."

  "Get lost!"

Joyce and I left in a hurry. I kept recalling the three years of getting along with him. He would coax me gently and play games with me. He understood me the best and shared the same hobbies with me. He even went to keep fit for me, but at this point, I realized that he was just lying to me.

I stomped my feet in anger, lowered my head, and pressed my phone hard to type. The message was sent out decisively.

I: [Bastard! Bastard! I'm gonna dump you!]

After that, I quickly deleted and blacklisted his number.

  I was single again.
