After I Got Married, My Childhood Friends Regretted It So Much
Chapter 2
I interrupted my grandma's next words, "There’s no need to refuse, I'll marry. The sooner the better."
When my parents got into trouble, I was taken away by their comrades. My grandma's hair turned white overnight and she managed to handle the funeral of her parents.
If it weren't for the family of my fiancé who had a childhood engagement with me, who had been taking care of her, I was afraid my grandma would have died long ago. But even so, my grandma still respected my choice.
She said many times, "I hope my precious granddaughter can marry someone she likes in the future."
But grandma, I didn't have anyone I could like anymore.
When I went to go through the discharge procedures, the doctor advised me very disapprovingly, "Your current physical condition is not very good. You inhaled a lot of toxic fumes from the laboratory. We currently have no good way to treat you. The best way is to stay in the hospital."
"If I feel unwell, I will come back immediately." I replied.
The doctor saw my firm attitude and finally allowed me to go through the discharge procedures.
I took a taxi back to Johansson house.
As soon as I walked into the living room, I saw a familiar report lying on the ground.
On the sofa in the living room, Suzanne sat leisurely, holding a pair of scissors in her hand, cutting the reply to my thesis one by one. That was the precious result I waited for three years to receive. When she saw me, she raised the paper in her hand provocatively at me, with a frivolous smile.
"They were afraid that I would be bored, so they asked me to cut it for fun, so I cut it. It's just a few pieces of torn paper, you shouldn't mind!"
My brain was overwhelmed and I went up to grab it without thinking. She sat down on the sofa and as we struggled, there were traces of blood on her fingertips because of the snatch.
A loud shout suddenly came from behind me, "What are you doing?"
Before I could react, a strong force came from behind me. My palm was originally holding the tip of the scissors and under the action of this strong force, the tip of the scissors instantly pierced through my palm.
I groaned and the strong smell of blood lingered in my nose.
The two brothers had a clear division of labor. They took the medicine box, one disinfected it and the other bandaged the wound.
Looking at me with disgust, "Apologize to Suzanne."
"It's just a few pieces of paper. If it weren't for you, Suzanne wouldn't feel uncomfortable because of inhaling the smoke in the laboratory. You still treat her like this..."
I picked up the report and shook my head, "I did nothing wrong, I won't apologize. She wanted to follow the laboratory, don't blame me. Besides, this is not paper, this is something very important to me, I don't know what's wrong with protecting my things."
I endured the pain in my palm and was about to bypass them and return to my room, but I was pushed down on the sofa.
Fredrick had a sinister expression, "Put away your nobleness, it's really disgusting. Kneel down if you don't apologize, otherwise I can't guarantee how long my good temper can last, I won't be angry and destroy your dead parents' relics for you!"
He was very threatening, slowly took out a mobile phone and opened the screen. It was a photo of my parents.
"Kneel down or not?"
I knelt down.
My face was patted by Fredrick and pushed to Suzanne's direction, "That's good."
Freddie had a strange expression, patted Fredrick's shoulder and smiled with a ruffian, "If you know you are wrong, then go and make soup for Suzanne. If my brother’s hand happened to slip..."
