Chapter 2

Usually, I thought of her as an elder and let her have her way, but I wouldn't do so anymore.

I snorted and said, "Of course, he's not a criminal. Which criminal would dress up so flamboyantly when his wife and child are not at home? I'm just curious. Who is this precious guest? A male or female?"

Now, Emery had nothing to say. She mumbled. Seeing so, Kellan quickly changed the subject and said, "Oh, it's just Larissa's ordinary friend. Why did you suddenly come back home? It's not time to get off work yet, right?"

As he said that, he was about to get the car keys. He said, "It is so slow to take the subway at this time. Shall I drive you to the company?"

I directly brushed away his hands, saying, "No need, I was fired. I plan to rest at home for a few months."

When I said this, I sat directly on the sofa. I said, "It just so happens that we have guests at home today, I will join you in entertaining them later."

Originally, I was here to get some documents, but now I planned to resign.

"I came here from far away for love, but now I want to divorce this scumbag and take Linda back to my parent's house!"

Kellan widened his eyes and asked incredulously, "You were fired?"

Larissa was anxious beside me, saying, "My friend will be here. Why are you staying here?"

They spoke one after another. I looked at them disdainfully and asked, "This is my home. Why can't I stay here?"

Then I looked at Kellan and said, "Yes, I was fired. Is there a problem?"

Kellan became even angrier. He gritted his teeth, saying, "Of course, there's a problem! Our monthly mortgage loan and car loan add up to nearly 10 thousand dollars. We must pay for food and accommodation too. Do you expect me to bear all of it? You're planning to rest for a few months, but can our family still survive?"

"You know that our family won't be able to make it if you rest for a few months, right?"

I retorted, saying, "Kellan, do you remember that you had been staying at home for a whole year two years ago? How come you could make it when the burden was on me, but you can't make it when it's on you? Are you a man or not?"
