Love's Final Battle Revenge for My Daughter!
Chapter 2
In the three days after Olivia's funeral, Elena didn't go home.
It seemed that as long as Brian was by her side, she would lose track of the time and ignore everything.
On the fourth day, I chose a cemetery and was about to bury Olivia's ashes.
As soon as I opened the door, I saw Elena's pretty, cold face.
Next to her stood Brian with four bodyguards behind him.
As soon as Elena arrived, she hurried into the house and looked around.
In the end, Elena came to me and asked, "Where's Olivia?"
I looked at the urn wrapped in black cloth in my hand and said in a low voice, "Isn't it a bit late for you to find your daughter now?"
Elena frowned slightly.
Elena's eyes flashed with anger. "No wonder you want to divorce me. It turns out that Olivia has made such a big mistake. Where did you hide her?"
I frowned. "What do you mean?"
"Don't you know what I mean? Brian has asthma and is allergic to cat fur. Why did Olivia secretly put cat fur everywhere in his house?"
"Did you know that she almost killed Brian?"
Elena words made my heart ache.
I thought that Elena came to find Olivia in such a big way because she realized that she had gone too far in asking her to buy cigarettes, so she came to apologize.
Or she was guilty and came here to repent after knowing that Olivia was dead.
I didn't expect that Elena would come to blame Olivia for the sake of Brian.
That was outrageous.
Not only did Elena kill Olivia, but she also slandered her and came after her.
I stared at Elena coldly and said sternly, "It's none of my business if you want to stand up for Brian, but don't slander Olivia."
Elena showed me her phone screen and said coldly, "Take a good look yourself."
A surveillance video was displayed on the phone.
In the video, a little girl looked around and entered Brian's villa.
A few minutes later, she sneaked away.
The girl in the video was very similar to Olivia in terms of dress, figure, and even profile.
After the video, Brian said, "After Olivia sneaked into my house yesterday, there was cat fur everywhere. I didn't expect that she would hate me so much just because she was asked to buy cigarettes for me."
"Kane, ask your Olivia to come out now. This is a serious matter. I must teach her a lesson today!"
There was a fury in her words.
It was as if she would never forgive anyone who threatened Brian's safety.
I looked at Elena and said sadly, "Elena, Olivia is your own daughter. Don't you know what kind of person she is? She is only six years old. How could she do such a thing?"
Hearing what I said, Elena didn't frown as much. It seemed that she was moved.
Seeing this, Brian spoke again.
"I don't want this to be Olivia's doing, but I met her yesterday after she came out of my house. I asked her why she came to my house. She said that she was looking for her mother. With that, she glared at me as if I was a bad person."
"Elena, Olivia is young and ignorant. She ought not to have done such a thing, and I'm afraid that she was asked to do so."
As Brian spoke, he fixed his eyes on me as if he wanted to say something but hesitated.
It was obvious that Brian was lying. Olivia had been dead for four days. How could he have seen her yesterday?
However, Elena still believed Brian's nonsense and looked at me with increasing disdain.
"Kane, you're really stubborn. Back then, you used your mom's dying wish to make me marry you. Now, to win my heart, you even used Olivia to harm Brian. How can you be so vicious?"
I looked at Elena with great disappointment and asked, "So, you would rather believe that Olivia and I were crazy murderers than suspect that all of this might be Brian's lie?"
Elena frowned and said coldly, "There are witnesses and evidence. How dare you create discord between me and Brian? Besides, how could Brian lie to me?"
Hearing Elena's answer without hesitation, I gave a wry smile.
For so many years, I'd always loved Elena with all my heart, taken good care of her, and put her first in everything.
Olivia was sweet and sensible since she was a child, and she spent all the money she had saved to buy a birthday gift for Elena.
Olivia and I had given all our sincerity to Elena.
But what did we get in return?
Elena considered me as a vicious villain.
In Elena's eyes, Olivia was a naughty child who needed to be taught a lesson.
How ridiculous it was.
Elena and Olivia were connected by blood.
I treated Elena with all my heart.
But all this couldn't compare to Brian's words that he glossed over.
I looked at Elena's cold and beautiful face full of disgust.
I was so upset.
Since Elena only trusted Brian, there was no use for me to say anything.
I couldn't be bothered to waste any more time. I walked past them and left.
Brian immediately caught up with me and stopped me. "Kane, are you really going to hide Olivia for the rest of her life? She's only six years old, and she almost became a murderer!"
I looked at Brian and said hatefully, "Brian, you can be a homewrecker if you want, but don't use Olivia as a tool to get what you want."
"You know best whether Olivia went to your house to put cat fur there or not. You did this just to be with Elena. I can grant that wish."
"I've signed the divorce agreement. It's on the table in the living room. As long as Elena signs it, you guys can be together openly."
With that, I bypassed them and left.
When Brian heard my words, a trace of fear flashed across his eyes, but in the blink of an eye, he held his head high again, chased after me, and said loudly, "Kane, don't try to twist the facts. I think that strikes a nerve with you and you just want to leave. What's in that black cloth? Is there cat fur Olivia got? Do you want to destroy the evidence?"
Then, without hesitation, Brian reached out to grab the urn wrapped in a black cloth.
Brian suddenly pulled hard on the cloth.
When I wasn't noticing, the urn fell from my hands in his scramble.
By the time I came to my senses, the urn had already fallen heavily to the ground.
Ashes scattered all over the ground.
It reflected a pale light that stung my eyes.
My head exploded in an instant, and I felt a burst of anger in my chest.
"I thought it was evidence of Olivia's evil deeds, but it turned out to be just a box of flour."
Brian looked at the ashes on the ground with disgust.
Before Brian finished, I punched him in the face.
"You dare hit me?"
Brian was beaten again and again and let out a scream.
"I am going to kill you!"
I charged at Brian like a madman.
Olivia had died because of his pack of cigarettes.
But now, he had broken her urn.
I couldn't take it anymore.
"Stop him!"
Elena gave the order behind me.
The two bodyguards stepped forward in an instant and held me down tightly, one on each side.
I couldn't move at all.
Brian frowned in pain and looked at Elena. "Elena, I can't breathe."
With that, Brian suddenly gasped heavily as though he was suffering from asthma.
"Brian, don't worry. Breathe slowly and don't get agitated."
Elena's heart ached, and she quickly comforted Brian, her eyes full of anxiety and concern.
Brian glanced at me smugly and then said to Elena, pretending to be wronged.
"Elena, I know that you grew up with Kane and are so attached to him, but he can't bully me just because of this. Do I deserve to die just because I'm close to you? In fact, I can endure whatever he does to me, but I really don't want to see him unreasonably restrict your freedom. I'm worried that if one day I'm killed by him, you're going to have a hard time."
With that, Brian sighed helplessly.
Elena's eyes were full of gratitude. She comforted Brian in a soft voice.
"Brian, don't worry. I'll get justice for you. No one can hurt you as long as I'm here."
With that, Elena came to me, staring at me with extremely cold eyes, and said coldly,
"Kane, it seems that I treated you too well in the past. You were in the wrong, but you never repented. You even hit Brian over a box of flour now."
"Apologize to him now!"
