Love's Demise: No Chance of Resurrection
Chapter 2
Alex came over and frowned. "You followed me to the hospital?"
Hearing his words, I wanted to laugh but failed.
I pointed to the ward and asked, "Is this why you disappeared?"
He explained, "You have many relatives accompanying you, but Nancy is alone. I need to accompany her."
These words stabbed my heart like a knife.
My relatives...
During these three days, I watched them leave one by one.
I asked Alex in a hoarse voice, "You promised you would give me medicine."
He was stunned. Obviously, he had forgotten that.
During these days, he was wholeheartedly with another woman.
Alex stepped forward and held my hand. "Sorry, I'll ask my assistant to take the medicine to the hospital."
At this time, the nurse in charge of my family's ward came over.
She looked at me with pity.
I had seen her like these many times.
At first, she would tell me who had passed away and urge me to get the specific medicine as soon as possible.
Later, she didn't mention that anymore.
It didn't matter who passed away, and it was useless even if there was a specific medicine.
The last glimmer of hope in my heart was gone.
I lost all my strength and shook off Alex's hand.
He was stunned. After all, I never disobeyed him.
"Are you mad at me? Nancy's husband died just after she was pregnant. Don't you feel sorry for her?"
He seemed to want to say something else.
The doctor in the ward over there said, "Where is Nancy White's husband? Come over."
Alex said, "I'm here."
Then he told me, "Be good. I'll come find you later."
I looked at his back coldly, tears rolling down my eyes.
I went to the morgue.
Looking at my family members lying there, I couldn't hold it in any longer and burst into tears.
I was alone now.
But my fiancé was accompanying another woman and enjoying the happiness with her.
