Chapter 2

The last minute I fell from the building, a thought flashed through my mind. Maybe I could be regarded as a good person who didn't implicate others when she committed suicide.

"Diana Caldwell!!" a magnetic voice shouted my name with despair.

The next second, I saw the young firefighter rushing towards me to catch me, but it was too late.

Since he wore no protection, he fell down with me.

While falling, I finally saw his face clearly in his tight arms.

Why did he save me without hesitation when he had no protection for himself?

Tears streamed down my cheek. "I'm sorry..." I was really sorry for him, although the apology meant nothing now.

With a harsh crush, I felt my organs ruptured and lost consciousness after the anguish wrapped my body.

Surprisingly, I woke up in the hospital safe and sound!

Hadn't I been dead after jumping off the building? What on earth was going on?

"Diana? What do you feel now? Are you alright?" my assistant, Bella Nelson, came to ask about my condition attentively.

"Didn't I fall from the building?" I expressed the doubts in my mind.

Hearing that, Bella touched my forehead and said, "You're not in a fever. Diana. Your brain is not damaged because of the diet, right? But I have to say that Mr. Wallace is really so heartless. He didn't come to see you here at all..."

Maybe it was when I fainted on the red carpet at a ceremony and was mocked by the whole internet.

"Is it Christmas today?" I asked.

"Yeah! Are you sure there's nothing wrong with your brain?" Bella looked very fretted.

"I'm fine!" It seemed that I was reborn one month before I discovered the truth.

Maybe God even felt unfair for the injustice I had suffered in my first life and granted me another chance to live my life.

In my second life, I would be bound to protect the young firefighter who saved me even at the expense of his life!

Although I didn't know his name, his stunning face had engraved on my mind.

Relying on my memory, I found the fire unit where he worked.

Just when I parked my Tank 300 in front of the fire station. "Do you need any help?" a firefighter knocked on my car window and asked.

Just when I parked my Tank 300 in front of the fire station, "Do you need any help?" a firefighter knocked on my car window and asked.

"Who are you looking for?" he asked again.

Well...

On the day he jumped off the rooftop with me, I didn't hear any of his colleagues calling his name and only remembered his appearance!

Just when I was wondering how to find him, a fire truck that had just returned stopped in front of us.

Although they all looked dirty and exhausted, I still recognized him at a glance in the crowd.

I pointed at him not far away and said, "Sir, he's the one I'm looking for!"

"Sebastian Lewis!"

"I'm here!" he answered.

"Come here."

"Yes, sir."

So, that was his name. It sounded as wonderful as his face.

Within half a minute, he ran to me.

"Sir, do you have something to talk to me about?" he gave a standard salute and stood at attention.

His leader playfully joked at him, "Why don't you tell us, young man?"

Sebastian seemed very confused. Patting him on the shoulder, his leader pointed at me and said, "Why don't you tell us you have found such a pretty girlfriend?"

The next second, I saw Sebastian tilting his head to look at me and raising his eyebrows at me, as if asking what was going on.
