Love is too Shallow, Fall too Deep Novel Cover

Love is too Shallow, Fall too Deep

On his wedding day, a billionaire's bride abandons him to host their guests alone, claiming she feels dizzy. Instead, he catches her in the lounge, intimately entangled with another man. Rather than making a scene, he quietly shuts the door and blocks a waiter from entering. Silently, he replaces her custom-made 1.6-million-dollar diamond ring with a cheap imitation bought online. After waiting for them to finish, he completes the ceremony with a cold, expressionless face.

Chapter 2

I sat in the living room with mixed feelings. After thirty minutes, she still hadn't come out of the room.

Her cheerful laughter came from the room. She acted cute, as if there was no one else around.

It was a pity that the person who made her so happy was not me.

My chest felt stuffy, and the surging sorrow made me extremely eager for nicotine.

Claudia had never liked the smell of cigarettes, so I could only go downstairs and smoke.

When I came out, I forgot to put on my jacket. At this moment, a cool breeze blew, making me shiver.

Trembling, I lit a cigarette. I couldn't help but wonder what was going on with us while smoking.

Back then, when I met Claudia, it was a donation event organized by my branch company, which aimed to help the children with special needs.

I attended the meeting in a low profile and didn't want anyone to know my identity.

During that event, I noticed Claudia at a glance.

She was wearing a snow-white dress, and her smile was very eye-catching among the children.

She patiently handed out gifts to them with a gentle and kind smile on her face.

In my eyes, she was as pure and beautiful as an angel.

After the event, I shyly asked for her number.

She thought I was just a poor boy, but she didn't turn me down.

I deliberately concealed my identity and confessed my love to her.

After we got together, I accompanied her to feed stray cats and participate in all kinds of volunteer activities.

I appreciated her kindness and fully supported her career. I even used my father's connections to help her successfully enter the head office and become a sales director.

However, my parents did not support our relationship.

Six months ago, she said she wanted to get married with me.

I agreed without hesitation. I didn't hesitate to fall out with my parents.

They were so angry that they ignored me for six months. They didn't even attend the wedding.

I didn't care. I believed love made up for all the difficulties.

Unfortunately, before I could enjoy or marriage life, she cheated on me with someone else.

Three months ago, there came a new deputy general manager in the company, Irvin Xavier.

It took me a long time to find out that Irvin was Claudia's first love.

She had been secretly in love with him for ten years, but she had never had the courage to confess.

Now that they were reunited, she was naturally overjoyed.

Ever since that day, Claudia seemed to have changed into another person.

In the past, the low-cut clothes and sexy short skirts that she despised the most had been piled up to be bought.

She held her mobile phone every night to learn makeup skills from the internet celebrities. She became more and more mature and sexy.

She came home later and later.

I didn't pay much attention to it. One day, she came home late at night. Her shirt was wrinkled, and even her skirt was lifted to her waist.

I couldn't help but frown and ask her why she was in such a mess.

She answered with a little drunkenness,

"It's all because of Irvin. He insisted on seeing what color of underwear I'm wearing."

Realizing that she had said something wrong, she quickly closed her eyes and pretended to be drunk.

Although I felt a little uncomfortable in my heart, out of trust in her, I let her go.

If I hadn't seen her and Irvin fooling around together with my own today, I wouldn't have known that she had cheated on me long ago.

2.

I smoked half a pack of cigarettes in a row. My throat hurt as if it had been burned, and I felt dizzy.

I returned home in a complicated mood. I thought that Claudia should have gone to bed. I didn't expect that as soon as I opened the bedroom door, she would jump directly from the bed to me.
