Chapter 10

Arhaan's POV.

The doctor checked her and prescribed some medicines, then she left.

"Have this," I said, passing her the bowl of soup.

"I don't want this," she said, making faces, and I glared at her.

"Stop this glaring thing, OK warna aankhein noch longi(I will scratch your eyes)," she shouted angrily.

I said sternly, "Don't behave like a kid and have this; you need to have medicine also." I said sternly, and she nodded no.

"Mrs. M, I have other ways to go, but I don't think you want that," I warned.

She snatched the bowl from my hand. She began to have it while muttering some curses.

"Now medicine," I said. This time she didn't say anything and gulped the tablets.

"Does anything remain, Mr. M?" she gritted her teeth.

"You can rest now," I said.

She didn't say anything and just laid down on the bed and started using her phone.

"Bhai, I am going bye, take care of yourself and bhabhi," Riyan said and walked towards the door.

"Bye rii, take care," Arhaan yelled from the kitchen.

Riyan opened the door only to run into someone. His eyes widened as he saw a girl, and he caught her before she fell.

"Hey, are you blind or what?" the girl scowled and straightened herself while Riyan was lost in her.

"Back to earth, Mr." the girl said, clicking her fingers.

He cleared his throat and asked, "Who are you, beautiful lady?"

"You are Riyan M, right?" she asked, raising her eyebrow.

"Yes, the social media influencer," he grinned, setting his hair.

"Who's there rii?" asked Arhaan, walking towards the gate.

"Hiii jeejs!" she wished, smiling.

"Smally bhabhi has a younger sibling also," thought a confused Riyan.

"Greet you here first, come inside," Arhaan said.

She nodded and stepped in.

"Riyan, why are you standing here? Go to the office and notify me about everything," Arhaan said to him.

"Yeah yeah bro, I am going. Woah actually, I forgot my lucky sipper in the kitchen." He fumbled and stepped in with them.

"I just got to know that bitch—I mean, Ariya has a fever, where is she?" Geet asked Arhaan.

"She is resting in the bedroom. You can meet her," Arhaan said.

"Upar se left" (go upstairs and then turn left), Riyan said, raising an eyebrow at him.

"Arre bedroom ka direction upar se left (ayee I am telling you about the bedroom's direction)," Riyan said, smiling.

"Riyan, if you are done, then kindly leave. You are getting late for the office," Arhaan said sternly.

Geet giggled and went upstairs.

"Hiii bitch!" Geet yelled, stepping inside the room.

"Geet, what a pleasant surprise!!" Ariya placed her phone aside and sat up.

"What happened? Why this fever all of a sudden?" Geet asked, sitting beside her.

"Don't know," she replied, "Accha leave all this tu yeh bata college nahi gayi?" (All right, leave all this and say you didn't go to college.)

"Well, Ahana is busy with her boyfriend, and you have a fever, and I don't want to go to college alone, so yeah," Geet replied.

"Well, I wanted to go to college, but my Jerkass husband warned me not to leave this room," Ariya explained, making faces and laughing.

"Damn Ariya, he is a dream husband. He is taking care of you." Geet said, and Ariya looked at her with a bored look.

"Dream husband, my foot; I just despise him; he's made my life hell," Ariya snarled.

"Ariya yaar, I don't think he is that bad. At least you can give him a chance," Geet said softly, trying to make her understand.

"Geet, don't start because I don't want to fight with you," Ariya said, stopping her.

Geet sighed at her stubborn best friend.

_______________

It's been five days since Ariya recovered from her fever.

For the past 3 days, she had been behaving like a typical wife, and Arhaan wasn't liking it. He was getting irritated by her behaviour. She was making breakfast and dinner for him. She took out his formal outfits every morning for his office...

The doorbell rang. Ariya opened the door to find Arhaan...

"You are still up," he asked, stepping inside. It's already 11.pm.

Well, he was busy with his dream project.

"I was waiting for you," she said softly, taking his office bag and the coat from his hand.

"Huh what?" he asked, sitting on the couch, loosening his tie.

"Mr. M, go and freshen up. I am heating up the food. I am so hungry." she said, and he looked at her.

"You didn't have your dinner?" he asked her.

"Nope, I was waiting for you," she said, nodding her head.

He didn't utter a word and went upstairs.

They had their dinner in silence and went back to their bedroom.

"Waise Arhaan, let's go somewhere tomorrow as it's Sunday," she said, sitting beside him on the bed.

"I am busy, Ariya," he said, as his eyes were on his phone.

"Stop being bossy every time Arhaan says I am your wife and you should give your little time to me," she said, as if complaining like a typical wife.

He placed his phone aside and crept closer to her. He jerked her towards his face by clutching her hair. "What games are you playing, Ariya?" he asked, leaning dangerously close to her, making her nervous.

She took a deep breath and answered, "I am not playing any games. I am just a simple girl."

He chuckled and then looked at her with a serious expression. "Do you think I am a fool, Mrs. M?" he asked.

She smirked and encircled her hands around his neck. "Naah, you aren't a fool, you are hot and sexy," she whispered.

"Let me clear you one thing, Ariya. If I find something fishy, then the consequences won't be in your favour. It will be worse than you think," he said and pushed her.

For a second, she got scared by him.

"Is this how you talk to your wife, huh? Very bad husband Mehra," she pouted, and he sighed frustratedly.

"Sleep, Ariya, don't start again,"he said, and went to his study room.

She smirked and lay down on the bed.
