Imperfect Substitute
Chapter 4

I knew Shane Sinclair was a scumbag.
The moment I saw him at the start of the semester, I couldn't help but track down people from his hometown. I had to ask around, going through several contacts, before I finally learned about his checkered past.
They all said he was a scumbag.
But what did it matter to me if he was a scumbag?
I only liked him for his face.
"As long as I can be by his side, that's enough. I'll do anything he asks of me for that."
"I've never seen anyone so..." Susie bit her lip.
For someone as talkative as her, she was actually at a loss for words after hearing what I had to say.
I didn't care.
My days revolved around Shane Sinclair, aside from classes and studying. Even he found it unbelievable.
"Looks like you really do like me, huh!"
By then, he had already gotten rid of the girl from the previous night. He was sprawling on the hotel bed with just a towel around his waist, looking at me.
I handed him his things and didn't reply.
Shane Sinclair took out his phone and checked the date. "It's been almost three months."
He kept staring at me with a mocking look on his face. When he saw I had no intention of speaking, his expression soured.
"To be honest, I'm not really into you. But I'm a man of my word. Starting tomorrow, you'll be my official girlfriend. How about it?"
He said it with a condescending air, as if he expected me to be eternally grateful. But the next second, a white shirt landed on his face.
I finally spoke. "Then get dressed first!"
