I Married Others, She Regretted It Chapter 1

My family had an ancestral precept that the next generation of heirs had to be reborn with a beautiful and powerful woman.

In my previous life, I drew Jessie Silvester.

A 168cm tall Bristol lady who was extremely beautiful.

She planted a garden full of roses for me and said the most touching love words to me, making me think I had found a treasure.

It was not until the fifth month after our engagement that she locked me in a dog cage and forced me to watch her making love with someone else.

“You know what? On the day you picked me, Tobias's leg was broken and his parents died in a car accident. You owe him this!”

On the third day, my sister jumped off the building.

On the fifth day, my father was imprisoned for ‘bribery.’

On the seventh day, Jessie attended the press conference arm in arm with Tobias Russell and announced the acquisition of the company.

On the ninth day, I breathed my last.

Before she died, I heard her laughing softly at Tobias. “Don’t be afraid, his family's hundreds of millions of assets will all be yours in the future.”

After living a new life, I drew the most inconspicuous lot, Elliot Peter.

The most famous crazy woman in Bristol circle, she was lame and disfigured. It was rumored that she burned her biological mother to death with her own hands and everyone avoided her.

Later, Jessie, who was once so arrogant, knelt in front of the dog cage where I had been humiliated and kowtowed like a madman.

——

A dozen middle-aged men in suits and ties were sitting in front of a luxurious long table.

My father sat in the main seat and smiled at me lovingly, “Moses, make your choice! These uncles are all looking forward to you settling down soon.”

There were a bunch of lots on the table, each representing a young lady from a noble family.

There was only one and it looked like it had never been picked up by anyone.

My eyes fell on the faded stick in the corner. It was Elliot's stick.

Elliot was a crazy woman that everyone in the Bristol circle avoids.

Rumor had it that she burned her biological mother to death with her own hands, her face was disfigured and her left leg was disabled.

The Peter Family refused to even invite the legitimate elders and only sent a concubine uncle to draw lots for him.

But I remembered that in my previous life, I was locked in a dog cage and those once flattering smiling faces turned into indifferent bystanders, smiling and taking pictures for fun.

Only Elliot took out a handkerchief and wiped the blood off my face when I was dying.

I reached out and drew the lot without hesitation.

The whole place was dead silent.

My father's face suddenly changed, “Moses! You…."

I said firmly, “I want her.”

My father stared at me intently and finally slumped back into his chair, sighing heavily, “Okay! But if she dares to hurt you in the slightest…."

He did not finish his words, but everyone present understood the weight of his words.

As soon as I walked out the door, I bumped into Jessie and Tobias.

Tobias's eyes were red and his shoulders were shaking slightly, looking like he had suffered a great injustice.

“Mr. Bryant,” he said, his voice choking, “I know you hate me, but the studio is my hard work, why are you destroying it?”

Jessie immediately looked at me with cold eyes as she scolded, “Moses, in order to marry me, you have to do such a vicious thing?”

I glanced at them calmly, “I did not do anything.”

He turned to leave, but she grabbed his wrist. “Apologize and compensate for the damage! Otherwise, don’t even think about letting me enter your Bryant Family's door in this life.”

Tobias hurriedly grabbed her arm and said, “Jessie, don’t be like this. Mr. Bryant, it's all my fault.”

He looked at me with tears in his eyes and said, “If I kneel down for you, will you give me back my studio?”

Jessie became even angrier when she heard this. “Apologize to Tobias. He is in poor health, so give him the nursing home under your name. Also, give him 20 nannies, the best ones. Plus, a dedicated medical team, on call 24 hours a day.”
