I Died the Day My Best Friend Framed Me
Chapter 2
Seeing my brother's message and the livestream link, I was stunned.
What was going on? I clicked on the live stream and saw the title. "Malicious Best Friend Sabotaging Marriage."
In the livestream, Leo was driving while ranting about me to the audience.
"Guys, you have no idea. My girlfriend's best friend is such a bully. She takes advantage of how kind-hearted my girlfriend is, dragging her around to always do free labor. We're about to get married, but this woman still won't leave us alone.
"Look at the time. We have a wedding dress fitting scheduled for tomorrow morning, but this so-called best friend says she's scared to be home alone and insists my girlfriend stay with her. Is this even fair? Is there any justice left?"
The audience was furious, flooding the chat with insults directed at me.
"Guard against fire, theft, and best friends!"
"Bro, I get you. My ex-wife got talked into divorce by her best friend, too."
Seeing the audience's overwhelming support, Leo smirked with satisfaction.
"Tonight, I'm going to show this so-called friend the price of ruining someone else's marriage!
"Guys, make sure to like this stream. Stay tuned for more as we deal with this nasty friend!"
Watching him gloat, I couldn't help but laugh disdainfully.
In my past life, Isabella became more and more reckless. She even got pregnant by her lover and tried to make Leo take responsibility, but he found out.
So she falsely accused me of setting her up to be raped.
Leo was furious and wouldn't listen to any explanation. He stabbed me to death.
At the time, I had just passed the civil service exam and had a bright future ahead of me. But they snuffed out my life.
My brother tried to avenge me by running Isabella over with his car, but she dodged. Instead, he ended up in prison for attempted murder.
My elderly parents were overwhelmed with grief and passed away soon after.
A family was ruined by one lie from Isabella.
This time, I was determined to make them both pay.
I messaged my brother: [I'm fine. Don't worry about me. Come up slowly. If things get heated, wait in the car. I'll let you know when to come up. I have my way of dealing with them.]
In the livestream, Leo pretended to open WhatsApp and acted like he was sending me a voice message.
[Harper, I'm giving you one last chance. Let my girlfriend go home now, and I'll let you off the hook.]
But I didn't even have his WhatsApp. Watching him put on this show, I immediately started my livestream and requested to join his.
When Leo saw that someone wanted to challenge him, he thought he could make some quick cash. So, he happily accepted.
But when the camera turned on and he saw it was me, Leo was furious.
"Well. How dare you start a livestream and connect with me. You're born with no manners. You'll get a lesson tonight!" he yelled.
The stream's viewership exploded, and countless viewers flooded in.
The viewers were unaware of the full story. They saw Leo's livestream title and eagerly started typing, ready to watch the drama unfold.
They joined the earlier viewers in bashing me, thinking they knew the truth.
"Society's morals are so low now, especially with these best friends who do nothing but stir up trouble."
"Guys, you better keep a close eye on your girlfriends. If they have heartless friends like this one, you're in for a world of trouble."
Some nosy viewers even started sharing my personal information, threatening to come to my house with Leo to teach me a lesson.
But as the viewers' comments scrolled rapidly, I acted as if I couldn't see them. I calmly made myself a cup of coffee.
After taking a sip, I calmly looked at Leo on the other side of the screen.
"Who told you your girlfriend is at my place?" I asked.
