Chapter 2

"Say it again?"

Selena's face stiffened. She picked up the resignation letter, glanced at it hastily, and tore it up.

At this moment, I only felt calm. Then I put on my shoes and repeated it again.

"Anyway, from today on, I am no longer your assistant. It's over between us."

There was silence for a few seconds, until Selena said with a stern face,

"What new trick are you playing again?

Don't think that I will try to keep you stay."

I packed up my belongings in silence. After a few years, I found that only a few things that belonged to me.

She watched my actions, took off the mask and stood up.

"Okay, Walt, you're really something!

Fine, let's see what job you can find without me. Don't forget that I'm the one supporting you now."

My hand paused, thinking about the salary she gave me every month,

500 dollars per month, without social insurance.

"Was I so love-struck before?"

Then I sped up and quickly packed my things. When I walked to the door with my suitcase, Selena seemed to have just realized that I was serious.

"Fine, if you leave, don't come back again. If you have the guts, don't regret and come back to find me later!"

She threw me an angry and resentful look, then quickly slammed the door and went into the bedroom.

It was late at night, I stood at the door with my suitcase, and dialed the phone that I hadn't called in a long time.

"Dad, I want to go home."
