I Choose The Powerful Billionaire Chapter 1

I saw Dylan's shocked face when he saw me standing beside Asher Lincoln. His face asked why I was at the party with him, maybe even asking what my connection with Asher was. As if Dylan couldn't stop his curiosity, he walked towards me and held my arm tightly.

"What are you doing here?" he whispered.

"What do you think when someone appears in this setting, Mr. Rowell?" I said with a smile and pulled my arm. "And please, don't act as if we're close. We're definitely strangers."

"Shut the fuck up, Ivy! Are you here to mess with me again? To mess with my life? You're dead!" He exclaimed.

Asher pulled me to his arms and looked at Dylan with furrowed eyebrows.

"What are you doing, Mr. Rowell? Don't get too close to my wife, or you won't see the next daylight of your little company," Asher said and possessively wrapped his arms around my waist. "You're acting like you were close to my wife."

"Before she was your wife, she was mine." Dylan greeted his teeth.

I snorted. Does Dylan even think of me as his wife when I married him? His mind is always clouded with Nora's name than mine. Now, he's actually acknowledging it?

"I think you might be confusing me with someone else. I heard two months ago that someone named Ivy Avery was found dead in some river. I was surprised that she has the same face as I am." I snorted and shook my head. "I was thinking that someone might have used my picture. I gave a fright to my family that they bombarded my husband's house to confirm."

"No. That can't be!" Dylan couldn't believe what I was saying to him.

Of course, who would believe such an absurd thing? Only stupid people will, but I need to fool them because... I want revenge. I want them to feel they are hunted. By someone that they pushed to her death because of so-called love. Their suffocating abuse and the embarrassment they make Ivy Avery feel before. I will make them feel the same way I felt before.

I smiled widely. You wait, Nora and Dylan. My revenge on you two will be delightful and satisfying as the poison of the Ivy seeps every part of their body.

Two months ago.

I received a call from my husband, Dylan, asking me to come to the hospital. I didn't know why I was called, but I had a hunch that It had to do with his stepsister, Nora. It seems like Nora is Dylan's bottom line. And when I arrived at the hospital, I saw him holding a crying Nora in his arms. She was crying pitifully, but she had bandages on her head and arms. But before I even voiced out my confusion. I was slapped across my face.

And I saw that it was Dylan who did it.

"You're really such a war freak, Ivy," he said with venom.

"What did I do?" I asked, completely clueless.

He scoffed at me and pointed at Nora, who was crying. Her mother, Emma, tried to comfort her. "You didn't know what you did? Are you making me a fool?"

"But I didn't do anything wrong!" I insisted.

Dylan made a dry laugh and shook his head. "Go ahead and tell me again that you didn't do this to Nora. Like Nora did this to herself."

"Yes, she did. Because I left the house earlier, she's completely fine."

Nora looked pitifully. She pursed her lips. "D-Dylan, let's not make this a big deal, okay? I slipped."

"Are you really, Nora? Sam told me that Ivy pushed you at the stairs," Dylan said and looked at me as if I was a vicious woman.

Sam was the maid who was there at the time when Nora and I were talking with each other. But I didn't do it. I didn't even hold a single strand of her hair. I got angry because Nora informed me that she and Dylan were going to Milan next week when Dylan promised to take me camping for a wedding anniversary celebration. But Nora said she will advance her birthday celebration next week.

I left the house to cool off, but to hurt her? I know that I will anger Dylan. Because it happened before, I was blamed for hurting Nora over a cut of some shattered glass.

"But I didn't do it! I'm telling you the truth! Why are you not believing me?"

"Because you are a jealous woman, Ivy," He said coldly. "You always bully Nora when Nora isn't doing anything towards you. In fact, she always forgives you even if you didn't say sorry for the things you've done. I noticed it. She always says that it's not your fault, but it's always you."

I bit my lip. "But I really didn't do it! I know you will get angry at me If I ever hurt her."

"But you always do it. Look, I promised you I would take you to the place you wanted, but can't you be magnanimous and let Nora enjoy her day next week? Birthdays only come once a year. Why can't you give it up when we can always go camping next time," Dylan said, annoyed.

I pursed my lips. "But you promise me first."

"Yeah, I did, but It's my mistake! Not Nora. Why are you always doing this to Nora, huh? You always hurt her! Ivy, I've already forgiven you a lot of times, but this is enough! Apologise to Nora," Dylan insisted.

I shook my head. Why do I need to apologise to her when I didn't do it. I never pushed her to the stairs.

"No, I won't! I told you, I didn't push her nor hurt her!" I said.

"Apologize, or We're getting a divorce."
