Chapter 2

After taking care of Davina's funeral, Nina accompanied me to Davina's grave.

"Baby, it's my fault. I couldn't save your life in the end." Thinking about how Davina suffered from illness and passed away at such a young age, I hated that couple even more.

Suddenly, Nina tapped my shoulder and said, "Jenny, look who's here."

In a hurry, I wiped away my tears and saw that it was Joel and Ivana. Joel knelt down and cried when he saw his daughter's tombstone, "Davina, it's my fault. I didn't have a chance to see you for the last time."

I walked over and pulled Joel up, "Now you know to come and see your daughter. Where were you when she was critically ill? Where were you when she was buried?"

I looked at Ivana, who was crying heavily, "You and her went back to your hometown and accompany her in giving birth." Then I walked up to Ivana and looked at Joel again, "What's the matter? Now that the confinement period is over, you suddenly remember your daughter?"

After listening, Ivana still looked at me innocently, "Jenny, you've really misunderstood. On Easter, Joel originally wanted to come home, but my amniotic fluid broke suddenly and I had to give birth, so he couldn't leave." I slapped her across the face and said, "Shut up, you slut. It's not your turn to speak here. Who let you come?"

I still wanted to slap a second one. Joel came over and held me, "Jenny, what are you doing? We have already reached this point of conflict. Is it necessary to continue?"

I sneered, "Joel, even if we don't love each other, Davina is still your daughter. You didn't even see her for the last time. How can you be so heartless?"

Joel sighed and said, "You also know that our daughter won't live long. Why do you waste time and money? Don't you know how much money we have spent on her over the years? We shouldn't have had her."

After hearing this, I felt like there was a lump in my chest, suffocating.

Ivana chimed in, "Jenny, the deceased has passed away, so don't be too sad. Joel and I truly love each other. I beg you, sign the divorce agreement." I saw a hint of a smile in her eyes.

Nina couldn't stand it anymore and started scolding Ivana for being shameless, even wanting to hit her. Joel quickly stopped her.

I looked at the chaos in front of me and felt so tired, so exhausted that I fainted.
