Chapter 1

Before his suicide, my husband, Archer Pierce, wrote a suicide note blaming me for his death.

His mother, Lyla Pierce, and his little brother, Ronan Pierce, orchestrated an accident to kill me for revenge.

But after I died, Archer, who had jumped into the river, came back alive.

His family lived luxuriously on my insurance payout.

When I opened my eyes again, I was back to the day I bought the insurance.

This time, I said, "Archer, five million dollars is too little. Let's make it ten million."

I was reborn on the day Archer persuaded me to sign the policy.

I was lounging in a chair, scrolling through my phone, as he held a pen, his face all smiles.

"Ava, just sign it. It's security for our son. No one knows if tomorrow or an accident will come first."

I took the policy and looked at it.

"Coverage for five million dollars?"

In my past life, it took Archer a long time to convince me to sign this vast policy. To ease my mind, he bought the same policy for himself, with me as the beneficiary.

"Inflation is getting worse; Five million isn't much!" Archer hurriedly interjected, fearing I'd disagree.

I touched my belly and smiled gently.

"Isn't five million dollars a bit too little? It won't be enough for our son to spend. How about we make it ten million?"

He jumped up excitedly, about to kiss me. "Ava, you're the best! I love you!"

I dodged his kiss. It was disgusting.
