When I had a Miscarriage, My Husband Abandoned Me for Dating
Chapter 3
Nobody thought highly of me and Harrison. However, when I accompanied him to start a business and walked together for ten years, everyone changed their mind.
All the acerbic sarcasm towards me turned into warm blessings.
But this time, as I listened to others talk about how good Harrison was to others, I could no longer laugh.
"Doctor." I pulled the doctor's sleeve and interrupted the conversation, calling her softly.
Knowing that I was weak from the hemorrhage when I came here, she hurriedly helped me to the chair and said with great concern, "I can approve your discharge application, but considering your current condition, it's better for your husband to come and pick you up."
She stared at my pale face and frowned slightly, “If you're afraid of trouble, I can call your husband."
"I know." I replied absentmindedly, gesturing for her to lower her head, "But doctor, I want to ask you, how old is the couple's child you were just talking about?"
The doctor seemed a bit alert, "What's wrong?"
I forced a smile, "That man is my husband."
When I returned home, Harrison was sitting under the warm yellow light waiting for me.
His eyebrows were slightly narrowed, but when he saw me, he suddenly relaxed.
"Ella, where did you go? Why did you come back so late?"
He looked at me with concern, and with familiarity, he embraced me into his arms.
I looked up to stare at him, trying to find any trace of abnormality in his expression.
But he calmly accepted my intense gaze, and the tenderness in his eyes didn't seem fake.
"Darling, it's my fault this time. Is your stomach still hurting?"
"Yes, it hurts." I gently pushed him away and sat back on the sofa.
"Are you still angry?" Harrison followed me with indulgence.
"Can’t I get angry?" I asked with a dark face, enduring the tearing pain in my abdomen.
"You can." Harrison thought I was throwing a tantrum and showed an indulgent smile. "When you are sick, you will get angry easily."
He tied on an apron and walked towards the kitchen, muttering as if it came from the bottom of his heart, "I love Ella no matter what she looks like."
While Harrison was in the kitchen, I picked up his phone that was placed on the table.
Before getting married, Harrison said that he would never keep secrets from me.
His mobile phone had no password and was always placed in the most conspicuous place.
Many details in life showed Harrison's sincerity towards me.
Over the years, I trusted him, loved him, and gave him my whole heart.
I thought I would receive the same in return, but I had been deceived by everyone.
But Harrison went to great lengths to deceive me.
There was nothing strange with any of his social media accounts, just like his disguise which was perfect.
But I was no longer a fool under his control.
Over the years, I had been a gentle and obedient wife, without socializing or working.
So even someone as meticulous as him would forget that I had won a national award for computers as an amateur student.
His trickery couldn’t fool me at all.
After dinner, Harrison went to the study to handle official business.
I ran back to the bedroom and stared at the computer in my hand.
On the clear screen, I watched him switch to another system skillfully.
A person named Una Kent sent countless messages.
[Harrison, when are you coming home? The baby keeps kicking in my belly. He must miss you.]
[Harrison, I miss you. Come to see me quickly.]
The ambiguous words were like needles piercing my pupils.
The text in the text box was repeatedly deleted. When Harrison mentioned the person who he didn't even want to say the name, Harrison was annoyed.
[She's been sick lately and insists on me accompanying her. I have to take care of her.]
Una appeared to be very angry and dissatisfied.
[Harrison, I can't bear it anymore. When are you going to divorce her?]
[She can't give birth to a child for you. How long will you continue to spend with her? Aren't I and the baby important to you?]
[Child...]
I stared at Una's words on the screen, wishing to tear her apart.
How could a mistress be so arrogant?
But the next second, Harrison's answer was like the cold water on my burning fighting spirit.
The fluorescent cursor slowly pulsed, making my face even paler.
My gaze stopped at Harrison's answer, unable to move anymore.
[Good Una. You know that I won't have a child with her. So in my heart, you and the baby are the most important.]
