His Love is Superior to Everything
Chapter 3
From now on, I would try my best not to meet Gina.
Eva and Mia grew up day by day.
Eva was chubby and adorable, and she could get whatever she wanted.
Mia was thin and small. Every time I saw her, she cowered timidly in the corner.
I felt sorry for Mia and brought Mia some beautiful clothes and toys every time.
When Gina saw this, she cut the clothes and toys I gave Mia into pieces like a madman.
Mia looked pitiful and her eyes were full of tears. "Auntie, thank you for buying those things for me!"
For example, now, there was a sound of smashing things in Gina's room.
Mia opened her bleary eyes abruptly, quickly got out of bed, and ran into the room.
"Mom, don't be angry. What do you want? I'll get it for you."
Half of Gina's face was swollen, and she pushed Mia to the ground. The porcelain fragments on the ground punctured Mia's hand.
Mia endured the pain, stood up, and looked timidly at Gina.
I rushed in, carried Mia out, and cleaned her wound.
"Auntie, don't worry about me. Mom is just depressed. She'll be fine in a while!"
When I left, I saw Mia gently covering the asleep Gina with a blanket with her bandaged hand.
Her small body curled up beside Gina, and she closed her eyes.
And Gina had several pink hickeys on her exposed chest.
There was no way she could have made those marks on her own.
When I got home, the red marks on Gina's chest kept circling in my mind.
I couldn't help but recall all kinds of news of crazy and stupid women being molested.
Did someone molest her after she left the house?
Even if she was as mad as a hatter, she was considered a marked beauty, with fair skin, a delicate figure, and beautiful features.
Before going to bed at night, I told Eddy about my doubts.
"Could Gina have been molested by some guy while she was out? I see hickeys on her."
In the dark, I couldn't see Eddy's expression clearly.
He rolled over, turned his back to me, and said in annoyance.
"How is that possible? You must be mistaken. Don't be so suspicious. And stop overthinking."
Not long after he finished speaking, I heard his even breathing and slight snoring.
I stood up and looked at Eva, who was lying on the cot next to me.
However, I couldn't fall asleep no matter how hard I tried.
I couldn't be wrong, because there were many hickeys. I was definitely not mistaken.
Perhaps that guy was too careless to notice it.
The next day, I called Mabel and vaguely asked her a few questions.
Mabel firmly said, "It's impossible. Don't talk nonsense and ruin the reputation of the Scott Family! What you saw may be rashes on her body."
Was I really making a fuss about nothing?
But since Mabel and Eddy said that it was impossible, there was no need for me to care too much. After all, she and I barely had a relationship.
When I went home to tidy up the wardrobe in the afternoon, I saw a pink dress thrown aside.
I remembered that this was a birthday present for Mia, but I hadn't given it to her because Gina tried to jump off a building that day.
I happened to be free today. I drove to Mabel's house and wanted to give Mia the dress.
No matter how much I hated Gina, Mia was so sensible that I felt bad for her. I liked her from the bottom of my heart.
I knocked on the door for a long time, but no one answered. I suddenly remembered that Mabel had a habit of playing square dancing.
Perhaps she had already gone to dance at this time, leaving only the mad woman and Mia at home.
I didn't want to face Gina alone and was about to turn around and leave.
Suddenly, the door opened.
