He Suffered From Depression After I Died
Chapter 3
I was lying in the ambulance.
My vision started to blur again.
I guessed the blood in my body would stop flowing soon.
The medical staff treated me, and the bleeding finally stopped.
However, the doctor still asked me to stay in the hospital for observation for some time.
Unfortunately, I ran into Robert just after I came out of the doctor's office.
When he saw me, he was stunned for a moment.
For a moment, I was worried that he would come over and notice something was wrong with me.
But soon I realized that my thoughts were unnecessary.
A woman rushed over and put her hands affectionately hugged Robert's neck, saying, "Robert, the doctor said that I just have a cold. You don't have to worry about me so much."
Winnie, who Robert really loved, saved him back then.
She appeared after I got married to Robert.
There was a wound on her arm that was similar to Robert's.
Robert looked shocked at that time. His eyes kept moving between me and Winnie, and finally, he looked at me coldly.
I felt pain as I walked past them towards the elevator.
Robert's voice suddenly sounded, "Even if it's just a cold, you can't take it lightly. If it gets worse, you'll cry again."
I suddenly remembered the year when my parents passed away.
I fell seriously ill due to the death of my parents and the schemes of my relatives.
At that time, Robert always took care of me. He went to the company during the day and stayed with me in the hospital at night.
I was worried that he was too tired, so I insisted on leaving the hospital.
Because of my recurring high fever, I cried and asked him to hold me.
Now the person standing next to him and acting coquettishly had changed.
He once promised to only care for me, but he didn't keep his promise.
I wanted to cry.
I suppressed it and pressed the elevator button.
Behind me, Winnie glanced at me and asked in a low voice, "Who is that person? She looks like Cathy. Could it be that Cathy is also sick?"
Robert said coldly, "I don't know her. That woman is not worth your worry."
My heart felt like it was pricked by a needle.
It turned out that I was so insignificant in his eyes.
When I entered the elevator, I saw Edward.
He handed me a tissue.
Only then did I realize that my face was covered with tears.
I turned my body sideways, raised my hand to wipe my face fiercely with my sleeve, and said coldly, "No need."
The elevator door slowly closed, and through the gap in the door, I saw Robert and Winnie walking over.
I quickly went to turn off the elevator because I didn't want to be in the same space with them.
Edward glanced out through the crack in the door, frowned, and asked, "What on earth happened between you and him?"
I looked up at him instantly and said, "Aren't you very clear of what happened?"
Edward and I were classmates and he pursued me when we were in college.
I rejected it quickly and told him that I had a fiancé.
He did give up at that time, but after Winnie appeared, he also showed up at a party and told those people that I seduced countless men including him.
Most of those people were business partners of Robert, and the rumors were spread quickly.
They also got a lot of naked photos of my face.
"Cathy, I can explain it to you!"
Edward tried eagerly to grab my arm, but I pushed him away.
"Edward, you are disgusting."
