Chapter 2

I loved beef, so I ordered a lot! I ordered five sandwiches! I loved the salad, so I ordered two!

I added some other dishes randomly. I secretly glanced at the price, and it was almost over a thousand dollars.

I couldn't help but laugh in my heart. My friend and I only spent a little over 300 dollars on the meal.

If it weren’t for Laura, I wouldn’t dare to eat as much as I want!

"I've ordered. How about you take a look at it? Is there anything you want to add?"

I handed the tablet to Jordan. He didn't seem to notice that I ordered a lot and even added some of his favorite meat.

When Laura came back with a bottle of Orange Juice, Jordan gave her the tablet and her face turned pale.

But she didn't say it to my face.

The ingredients were served one after another, and Jordan realized that we had ordered surprisingly much.

He looked at me in surprise. "Simona, I didn't expect you to be such a big eater."

I blinked and smiled sweetly. "There are many things you can't imagine!"

While eating, Laura couldn't help but start acting weird again and brought up some old stories with Jordan.

She said that one time, when they were playing basketball together, she accidentally sprained her ankle, and Jordan patiently carried her to the infirmary.

"Simona, you are so lucky to be in love with Jordan!"

I looked surprised and said, "Wow, you two seem pretty close. Why didn't you date at that time?"

My eyes were clear, and I pretended to be really curious.

Jordan interrupted with a guilty conscience. "Simona, don't get me wrong. We don't have that kind of relationship..."

Of course, I knew their relationship.

Jordan had known her for such a long time, but they hadn't dated, but he pursued me. Didn't it mean that he thought Laura was not qualified to be his girlfriend?

"What?" I ate beef. "I didn't misunderstand. I know you only love me. Otherwise, you would have been dating Laura a long time ago. I understand you!"

After saying that, I freed up one hand and made a gesture of love to Jordan.

I would never have done something like this in my previous life. It was too embarrassing.

Seeing that I was not angry at all, Jordan actually frowned slightly, seeming a little puzzled.

In contrast, Laura couldn't utter a word. She didn't touch the food on the table at all and just kept drinking.

After a while, she felt a little dizzy and lay on the table with a red face, seeming to be calling Jordan's name.

I listened close to her, then looked at Jordan's guilty face.

I was surprised and said, "She said she like sunshine. She must like sunny days. Me, too. We just have things in common!"

Jordan wiped the sweat from his forehead. "I don't know, but it's quite hot to eat here. I'm sweating."

Jordan and I sat in silence. I was just eating, but he didn't eat or talk.

Seeing this, I quickly gave him some food. "Isn't this your favorite cheese cake? Why don't you take a bite?"

"I am full." Jordan took a deep breath.

"What? Then you can take Laura home. She is so drunk that she can't go back by herself."

I had a concerned look on my face, and I definitely looked kind and understanding.

"What?" Jordan almost blurted out, obviously very surprised.

My words were indeed surprising.

His girlfriend actually asked him to send another woman home. It showed I trust him.

After being stunned for half a second, Jordan stood up and pointed at Laura a little awkwardly. "Well, I..."

"Go ahead. Would it be inconvenient for you to ride a bike? How about I call a taxi for you?"

I said as I was about to take out my cell phone.

Jordan hurriedly stopped me. "No need. I can find a way myself."

As he spoke, he put Laura's arm around his neck and helped her stand up, but she didn't have enough strength and stumbled.

He gave me an awkward look.

I suddenly remembered something and asked hurriedly, "Did Laura pay? If not, I might not have enough money, and I can only borrow from others..."

I lowered my head in grievance.
