Chapter 1

After I was left to die alone in the woods by my own mate and husband, who was busy pestering the wife of someone else's, I was reborn to the day I had chosen my mates over my dreams.

I tore up the admission letter from Lunar Alphas’ Academy with my own hands. And I rejected the passionate confessions of the two Alpha mates. It's because I didn't want to repeat the mistake I made in my previous life by choosing Dylan, who ran away for Amy on our wedding day, which made my grandmother, who depended on me, angry to death.

In despair, my other mate, Marcus, bent on his knees and proposed to me, saying, "You still have me, I will never let you down."

He saved me from losing face to the entire Pack, making me shed tears of love and gratitude. I vowed to dedicate my whole life to him. But, soon after the marriage, his behaviour towards me changed completely. All of a sudden, he turned cold to me. I thought it was because I couldn't produce an heir, but little did I know...

Until the fateful night of the blood moon, when Amy, barely scratched, was prioritized over me, and I, who was severely wounded and sick, was left to die. As my spirit wandered, lost and helpless, I discovered the horrifying truth: my life had been a twisted game of loyalty and deceit between Dylan, Marcus, and Amy. They had forged a pact, leaving their Pack's inheritance and future to Amy, and to ensure their loyalty, they had secretly had my womb cursed, rendering me infertile.

In this new life, I vowed to break free from their manipulation and forge my own path, unshakable by the shackles of their betrayal. The moon, once a symbol of my torment, now illuminated my journey toward independence and self-discovery.

——

I lay on the cold, damp ground, my vision blurring as the life was draining out of me. I could feel my heart slowing, my breaths growing shallower. I was dying, and I knew it.

But even in my final moments, I couldn't help but feel a pang of anguish as I watched the two people I loved most in this world tend to another woman's minor injury.

Dylan, the alpha who had once promised to love and protect me, was gently cleaning Amy's scraped knee. His eyes were filled with concern, his touch tender. Marcus, my mate and supposed husband, was holding Amy's hand, speaking softly to comfort her.

Meanwhile, I lay here, dying. Alone. Unnoticed.

I tried to speak, to call out to them, but my voice was barely a whisper. I was nothing more than a faint shadow in their eyes, a mere afterthought.

As if it was not enough that they even dared to scold me, saying loudly, “It's all your fault, Bella. Who told you to visit your grandmother’s grave alone and got attacked by the rogue wolves? See, Amy got wounded in saving you.”

I smiled bitterly. My husband who blamed me for visiting my grandma's grave alone kinda forgot he never accompanied me anywhere. His life, he was busy chasing Dylan's supposed wife, Amy, and his last sentence almost angered me to death. Amy didn't help me for once. She was standing aside, laughing and clapping while the rogue wolves were tearing my clothes, kicking and scratching my body with their sharp nails. Her wounds were foged just to show to my blind mates.

“Amy, your body is delicate! Why must you jump into the chaos and help Bella? She is an Alpha blood. She would have managed. It's nothing to her.” Dylan said while cleaning Amy's minor scratches before he yelled at me, “Why are you lying there, Bella? Stop pretending to be injured. We know your wounds heel faster than Amy. Come and help Amy, don't just lay there idle.”

It’s true that I was an Alpha while Amy was not, but she was not as delicate as they were considering her, and I might have fought and remained unharmed when facing one or two rogue wolves, not against four strong rogue werewolves who were hired to rape me. I could only save one thing, my life or my pride, and I chose the latter.

But, I could not explain these to my two blind mates as I was laying lifeless. They wouldn't listen to me either.

A bitter laugh escaped my lips, and I felt a pang of sorrow. I had given them everything, my heart, my soul, my love. And this was how they repaid me? By ignoring me in my final moments?

I closed my eyes, feeling the darkness close in around me. I was nothing to them, nothing but a disposable pawn in their game of love and loyalty.

As my life slipped away, I knew that I would never forgive them for this betrayal. Never.

***

When I opened my eyes, everything felt like a nightmare. My mates’ betrayal, my sufferings, the terrific death of my grandmother and mine, everything felt like a dream. But, for some reason, I knew they weren't dream. I could still feel the four rogues, tearing me from inside out, I could still feel the hurt when Marcus was confessing his love to Amy on my grave. Every heartbreak was a fresh reminder to me that they weren't the dream but the truth of my previous life.

I glanced at the admission letter of Lunar Alpha's Academy, a university only for the talented Alphas and the higher level of werewolves. It was not easy to secure a seat at this university when there were so many Alphas in the kingdom. I had managed not just a seat, but had topped them all. Now that I was reading the admission letter, it was reminding me of the mistakes of my past life because it was the place where everything started.

I, Marcus and Dylan joined the same university, along with Amy. But, in this life, I didn't want anything to do with them. So, I tore the letter and decided not to take admission in the same university as them.
