Grayson had no idea what had set Savannah off this time. All he heard was her accusing him, "Spencer only posted a few wedding photos, yet you had to leave nasty comments every day!"

"Before the shoot, I told you Spencer wasn’t in a good mood. I just wanted him to take a few photos with me. You’re the one being petty and dirty-minded. You didn’t want to show up, yet now you can’t stand seeing others take pictures!"

Grayson frowned, his voice steady. "I didn’t post any comments."

"Didn’t post? If you didn’t, why would Spencer be so upset?" She pulled up the posts on her phone, her fingers shaking with frustration.

One glance, and Grayson could see it for what it was: pure fabrication.

At that moment, Spencer walked in from behind her, his expression dripping with grievance. "Brother Grayson, how can you act like this and not take responsibility? I honestly don’t understand what I did to make you target me like this."

"You've tormented me long enough, but cheating, why did you have to stoop so low?"

"Cheat?!" Savannah’s voice wavered, shock spreading across her face.

Without missing a beat, Spencer pulled out a photo. "I didn’t want to mention this, but I can’t bear to watch you be fooled, Savannah."

The photo depicted a man with a profile strikingly similar to Grayson’s, and the background looked like it was taken in a dimly lit bar.

As Savannah’s fury deepened, Grayson couldn’t ignore the gleam of triumph that flickered in Spencer’s eyes. He opened his mouth to defend himself, but a sense of futility washed over him.

He hadn’t been with another woman, but even if he had, what right did Savannah have to confront him? She wasn’t exactly blameless, either.

"Is this true, Grayson?" Savannah demanded, her voice sharp, cutting through the tension.

But as she spoke, Grayson noticed something in her eyes, something that resembled… hurt? He couldn’t help but laugh inwardly. What was she hurt about?

For years, he had poured his heart and soul into managing the company for her, even making sacrifices so she could be with Spencer. Now, he stood before her, the weight of everything unspoken between them hanging heavy in the air.

Fixing his gaze on Savannah, Grayson’s voice was steady, yet his words cut through the silence. "Savannah, when you and Spencer were caught up in your little world, did you ever stop to wonder if I might care?"

"So, even if I did something, you have no right to question me, do you?"

Savannah bit her lip, her face a mix of confusion and frustration. But Grayson didn’t flinch. He turned away, closing his eyes, letting the moment stretch on as if waiting for time to sweep everything away.

At that moment, Grayson wanted to leave, to escape the chaos that had become his life.

Savannah glanced at him, her eyes flashing with what could only be described as reluctance. But before he could make sense of it, she stormed out of the office, Spencer’s calls fading into the distance as she ignored him completely.

Grayson could only shake his head. It was absurd.

Later that night, Savannah’s message buzzed on his phone. [Grayson, I won’t have any more contact with Spencer. Tomorrow, we’ll get married. From this day forward, I’ll belong to you and only you. Let’s stop fighting, okay?]

[I’ve bought a few suits. Come home tonight and try them on.]

Grayson’s lips curled into a cold smile. Even now, Savannah was still weaving lies, still trying to pull him into a trap. Did she honestly think he’d make a fool of himself at the wedding?

Grayson couldn’t waste another moment exposing Savannah’s lies. He replied with a hint of indifference, [No need. I bought one myself. I’ll swing by first thing tomorrow.]

[Alright then…] came her reply.

With a sigh, Grayson turned off his phone and placed the reprinted contract on his desk. He also set down his employee badge, which reminded him of his role as sales director.

Then, with deliberate finality, he added his resignation letter.

He’d been Savannah’s employee, after all. Even though he was leaving, he would follow the proper procedure.
