Chapter 1

“You can't just go back to Earth King Valley whenever you want.”

Jennie Skinner held the phone in her hand, her voice hoarse, “Please tell Master that according to the rules of the valley, I am w illing to accept any punishment.”

The person on the other end of the phone was stunned and then sighed, “Why are you doing this? In the beginning, you were willing to give up your status as the heir of Earth King Valley to stay with Marson forever, but now you are willing to abandon your so-called true love and return to Earth King Valley to live a hard life?”

Jennie glanced at the gold-embossed wedding invitation on the corner of the table and a bitter feeling rose in her heart.

“Brother, I was wrong. Seven days, give me seven days and I will go back and apologize to the Master.”

Then she hung up the phone.

Marson came out of the bathroom, his hair dripping with water. Seeing Jennie holding her phone in a daze, he complained, “Can you be smarter? Emily's wedding is in seven days. If you look like this, people will think we are bullying you.”

We?

It took Jennie a long time to come back to her senses. The ‘we’ here referred to the two people on the wedding invitation, Marson Rush and Emily Waters.

Seeing her silence, Marson was very dissatisfied. He leaned casually on the sofa and his wet hair soaked the backrest.

“I've told you many times that Emily has a terminal illness. She just wants a wedding and it won't hinder your position as Mrs. Rush.”

Jennie felt a pain in her chest and she held onto the wall, barely able to stand.

All in all, that was the third request Marson had made for Emily.

The first time, he said that Emily was from the same hometown as him and that she had just graduated and could not rent a house, so he wanted her to live with him.

Jennie agreed.

The second time, he said that Emily got pregnant because of the careless choice of friends, so he asked Jennie to prescribe an abortion pill and also told her not to hurt Emily's body.

Abortion went against the teachings rule of Earth King Valley, so Jennie refused.

That day, Emily went to a black clinic to have an abortion and was left with a chronic disease.

That time he even complained, “Jennie, Emily got her terminal illness because she did it in the black clinic. You've hurt her to such an extent, so what if you give her a wedding?”

The pain in her heart gradually dissipated. Jennie stood up straight and stared at the man on the sofa.

“Sure.”

Marson raised his eyebrows and curled his thin lips, “You are really a good daughter-in-law of my Rush Family.”

Jennie lowered her eyes.

“Emily's parents had long since disowned her. On the wedding day, you held Emily's hand and handed her to me.”

When talking about Emily, Marson had a smile on his face.

“Emily is a good girl, kind and sensible and she knows how to give men face. You should learn this from Emily.”

As he spoke, Marson's phone lit up and several wedding dresses appeared on the screen.

He got up, walked into the bedroom, closed the door and started talking on the phone.

Through the glass, Jennie suddenly felt that his man was so strange. What was she obsessed with?

Why was she so obsessed that she wanted to go down the mountain with him even at the cost of her status as the heir of Earth King Valley?

Seven years ago, the old man of the Rush Family passed away. Marson and his uncles were fighting for power and they knocked Marson unconscious and threw him on the side of the road.

It was Jennie who came down the mountain to collect herbs and saved him and also helped him to come up with strategies to take over Rush’s.

Later, Marson knelt before her master and begged him to marry her.

The master refused and drove her out. Marson then knelt at the gate of Earth King Valley every day for seven days.

Finally, her heart softened and she made up her mind to give up everything and marry him.

And Marson did not let her down. Not only did he give her a grand wedding of the century, he also announced on the wedding day that he would transfer half of his shares to her.
