Good Bye. Alpha Chapter 1

The rain pounded relentlessly against the ground, a mournful symphony echoing my inner turmoil. I stood frozen in place, heart splintering into fragments as I watched the scene before me unfold. Charles didn’t even glance in my direction, his lips still locked with Hailey’s in a display of betrayal so raw it felt like a knife twisting in my chest.

“What are you doing here, Alexandra? You should’ve expected this,” he spat, his voice laced with venom, every word cutting deep into the fragile remnants of my trust.

My wolf howled in despair, a mournful cry that mirrored the pain coursing through my veins. The bond we once shared, now shattered beyond repair, left a gaping void in my soul. My fists clenched at my sides, nails digging into my palms as I trembled—not from the cold, but from the betrayal that sliced through me like a blade.

“You’ve always been weak, Alexandra. Why even try?” Hailey’s voice was sharp and smug, her words laced with derision. Her expression was one of triumph, as if my heartbreak was her ultimate victory.

I blinked back the tears threatening to fall, refusing to show them the weakness they accused me of. Charles’s next words hit like thunder, reverberating in my mind with cruel finality. “You were never meant to lead. You were just a pawn for my ambition. Do you really think anyone would follow a failure like you?”

A pawn. A tool. That was all I had ever been to him. I had been blind, foolishly trusting him for so long, and now, his betrayal was the final nail in the coffin of our broken relationship. The life I had envisioned, the dreams I had nurtured with him, crumbled into ashes.

Without another word, I turned away, their laughter ringing in my ears as I walked down the grand halls of the Alpha’s mansion. Each step was heavy, yet filled with growing resolve. I was done. Done with the lies, the humiliation, the facade of a future that would never come to be.

In my room, I packed what little I owned. My belongings fit into a single bag—a stark reminder of how little I had truly gained during my time here. As I zipped it shut, Charles’s cruel voice echoed in my mind. “No one will ever accept a Luna who failed so completely.”

But I didn’t care anymore. My wolf growled low and steady, an aching desire to fight bubbling beneath the surface. I silenced it. This wasn’t the time for vengeance. This was the time for escape. Alone.

Crossing the mansion’s threshold, I felt the weight of the pack’s ties dissolve with each step I took. Relief mingled with pain, the two emotions twisting together in a bittersweet symphony. The rain drenched me, but it felt cleansing, washing away the remnants of a life I no longer wanted.

I had no destination in mind, only an overwhelming need to leave it all behind. The rain blurred my vision, each drop a whisper urging me forward. But then, a voice cut through the storm, freezing me in my tracks.

“Running from one nightmare... are you ready to face another?”

The voice was deep and commanding, sending a shiver down my spine. My body tensed as the air around me thickened with his presence. I turned slowly, my senses on high alert. The scent hit me first—wild, raw, and utterly unfamiliar. It was nothing like the suffocating staleness of Charles’s presence. This was different. Dangerous.

Lightning illuminated the figure standing before me. He was tall, broad-shouldered, and exuded a power that seemed to rival the storm itself. My wolf stirred within me, torn between wariness and curiosity.

“Who are you?” I asked, my voice trembling despite my attempt to sound strong.

“Someone who knows your pain. Someone who understands your loss,” he replied, his dark eyes locking onto mine. They held an intensity that both terrified and intrigued me, as if he could see the depths of my broken soul.

His words sent a chill down my spine. How could he possibly know what I was going through? The storm raged around us, but his presence seemed to command it, bending the chaos to his will.

“Don’t worry, little wolf,” he said, a smirk tugging at the corner of his lips. “I won’t bite—unless you beg me to.”

My heart raced, a mixture of fear and something I couldn’t quite place. His presence was overwhelming, a force of nature that seemed to dwarf the tempest surrounding us. This man—this Alpha—wasn’t here by chance. He was deliberate, purposeful, and every instinct in me screamed that he was a threat.

“Are you ready to face your demons, Alexandra?”

His question hung in the air, heavy with meaning. The storm inside me quieted, overshadowed by the one he represented. I didn’t know if I wanted to run or stay, to fight or surrender. But one thing was certain—I couldn’t look away.
