After My Sister-in-Law's Ectopic Pregnancy, She Believes in Gods Instead of Science

My mother-in-law, Siona, chose blind faith over medicine, insisting prayer could cure Kitty’s ectopic pregnancy. When I intervened to save Kitty’s life, my reward was her bitter resentment over her subsequent infertility. While eight months pregnant, I was murdered by Kitty in a targeted car crash. Now, miraculously sent back to the day of her diagnosis, I refuse to play the savior. As Siona preaches her divine delusions, I simply smile and agree. This time, they can save themselves.

Chapter 2

Siona was happy.

She started to pack up and take Kitty to the church for a week.

I sat in the living room, eating cakes, watching Siona busy and Kitty restless. Kitty walked around the balcony several times, made several phone calls, and finally came back to the living room and sat next to me.

"Dianna, I searched it, ectopic pregnancy seems to be really dangerous. Should we go and talk to Mom again?"

She looked sincere, with a humble attitude, as if begging me. When I saw Siona coming out of the room, I deliberately smiled, holding Kitty's hand.

"Mom has her reasons. I have never been pregnant. I don't have mom's experience. If you think it's dangerous," I looked back and shouted, "Mom, Kitty has something to say to you."

Kitty didn't want to offend Siona.

She always pushing me out as a shield.

This time, I couldn't be the scapegoat. I called Siona. Kitty's expression was frozen. Without any reaction, I heard Siona ask her, "What do you want to say?"

Kitty trembled, but still held back and said, "Nothing."

Siona packed up and left with Kitty.

In a few days.

I received a phone call from Kitty in the middle of the night, secretly.

"Dianna, my belly has been hurting a lot these past two days. Do you think I should go to the hospital?"

Kitty didn't dare to say these words to Siona. She wanted to say them through me. Kitty's family was from the countryside, and Siona had always looked down on her.

I was different.

Both of my parents had respectable positions in their workplaces.

Even Siona also respected me a little.

She was not afraid of me, but of my parents.

In the previous life.

As long as Kitty proposed something that I could accept, I was always willing to help her. I also hoped that she could have a better life. But I never thought that all my good intentions were wasted and I received a fatal blow from her.

"Is it because you are not sincere enough?" I lazily lay on the sofa watching TV shows and eating potato chips. "Siona said that you are always lazy when praying. You should ask Siona how to do better."

I said word by word.

Kitty became angry and couldn't control her volume, so she shouted.

"Are you hoping for my death?"

The next second.

I heard Siona's voice scolding her through the phone.

"Who allowed you to say such things in such a sacred place? Come here and apologize!"

On the other end of the phone, I heard Kitty's suppressed and humble crying, and Siona constantly cursing her, saying that she was ignorant, didn't know the occasion, and didn't understand the severity of the situation.

Then.

The call hung up.

I looked at the hung up phone and smiled.
