Glowing with Cheating Love

When I went to get my custom wedding dress, I found out there were two sets of it.

One set had my name on it.

On the other same set was the name of Nathan Hance, a male college student sponsored by my girlfriend, Cheryl.

I stormed to question them in anger, only to see my girlfriend sitting on Nathan's lap when I reached the door.

She put her arms around Nathan's neck and said tenderly, "Don't worry, babe, I've already bought you a car and a house in full. You'll have as much as other men have!"

She spoke again in a gentle tone, "My marriage to Zachary Jeffers is just an alliance between our two families. The only person I love is you."

I told the venue for my wedding to change the groom that day and left without hesitation.

When I saw two identical wedding dresses, the employees of the wedding shop looked at me, at a loss for what to do.

I felt my heart sank to the bottom.

I was usually busy with the company's affairs, so I worked through several nights to design this wedding dress myself.

Cheryl's and my names and the time we first met were written on the wedding dress.

However, the other wedding dress had Cheryl and Nathan's names and the time they encountered written on it.

Nathan was still a child when I saved him in a charity rescue campaign many years ago.

He was covered in blood and looked extremely pitiful at that time.

Looking at the lonely and unfortunate Nathan, I couldn't help but think of my past self.

Despite opposition from people around me, I began to support Nathan and stuck to it for eight years.

After being together with Cheryl, she also objected to my sponsorship of Nathan. She said, "I'm not going to do this thankless job with you."

Until one day, I drove Cheryl and Nathan to eat local specialties in Nathan's hometown.

However, we got into a chain reaction car accident on the way. Nathan threw himself in front of Cheryl and protected her from the fatal injury.

Since then, Cheryl changed her opinion of Nathan.

Her relationship with Nathan began to become close. She even mentioned to me many times that it was Nathan who saved her life.

Therefore, I had been treating Nathan as my younger brother.

Whatever I bought, I would surely give Nathan a share.

But I didn't expect that Nathan would also have a share in my wedding.

I had been together with Cheryl for seven years, so I secretly swore that I would give her the most grand wedding.

From the decoration of the wedding venue to the design of wedding dresses, I did everything myself.

I tried my best to give Cheryl the most memorable and unique wedding, but I ended up finding myself extremely stupid.

I had just walked out of the wedding shop when I received a call from Cheryl. She said softly on the other end of the line, "You have been busying around for the wedding recently, so how about we dine outside tonight? I've booked the same old place. Just come directly."

I agreed and hung up the phone without saying anything else.

Cheryl couldn't stand cooking fumes, so I had been responsible for preparing meals every day since we got together.

If it were in the past, I would have been so touched when Cheryl said gently she couldn't bear to see me tired from cooking like this that I would have started to say sweet words to her.

But now, at the thought of the exact same two wedding dresses I just saw in the bridal shop, I only feel weary.

After parking the car, I walked into the restaurant and arrived outside the private room, intending to open the door and ask Cheryl what she meant by preparing two identical groom dresses.

Before I could push the door open, the breeze in the corridor gently blew it open.

Through the door, I saw Cheryl sitting on Nathan's lap, with her arms around his neck, and saying sweetly, "Babe, I've been so busy lately because I've been choosing a car and a house for you. I've already paid for them in full. You'll have as much as other men have!

"My marriage to Zachary Jeffers is just an alliance between our two families. The only person I love is you!"

Hearing this, I froze, staring blankly at the scene in front of me.

Recently, I had been busy with the year-end shareholders' meeting and a bunch of other affairs of our company.

I called Cheryl and asked her to take care of the wedding arrangements, but she just told me that she wasn't feeling well these days.

Thus, I could only stay up for several nights to arrange everything myself.

I covered my chest, trembling all over with acute pain in my heart.
