I spent another half a month in the hospital.
During this period, William never appeared.
He just sent me a good morning message at a fixed time every day.
He never used to message me, even when I shared my daily life with him.
Does he think he is making peace by doing this?
What a joke! He can't even be bothered to type a few extra words.
Who would believe his sincerity in seeking peace?
On the day of my discharge, he called me for the first time.
"Where are you now? There's a new Japanese restaurant that's really good. You'll definitely like it. I'll come pick you up."
In the past, I would have eagerly agreed.
And then I would have awaited his arrival with joy.
Now that I thought about it, it was just ridiculous.
But considering that my hand was injured and it was inconvenient for me to drive, I replied to him, "Still at the hospital."
He said, "See you in 15 minutes."
I hadn't gotten used to writing with my left hand yet. After completing the discharge procedures, I checked the time and found it was already half an hour later.
I packed my things and went out to take a taxi.
I heard the sound of a message notification.
It was sent by Sally.
[William is nice, and his figure is even better. He just helped me move and is taking a shower at my place. Annie, do you mind?]
It also came with a picture.
The hazy frosted glass reflected William's figure.
The last trace of hope lingering in my heart was completely extinguished the moment I saw the picture.
I replied to Sally, [We haven't even divorced yet, and you're already enjoying being the other woman?]
I took a taxi but didn't go back to the house of me and William.
Instead, I went to the apartment I bought before getting married.
