Chapter 2

Ada and I had been friends since childhood, and we had always played together since we were very young.

She had been dependent on me since she was a child. She also told me everything.

When we were kids, we shared snacks, and when we grew up, we shared our thoughts.

Ada told me everything, like her parents had a fight or she broke up with her boyfriend.

It was normal for her to drink my water, wear my clothes, and spend my money.

It seemed that we were a couple, but I knew I was just a bootlicker who stayed with Ada in the name of her brother.

I confessed to her, but she rejected me.

I remembered her words. "Gavin, you're good. But I always think of you as an elder brother. If we really became a couple, it would be too awkward. Isn't it better for us to get along like now?"

Most loves died of confession, and my love was no exception.

I thought that Ada and I would always get along like this until I went to college and had a girlfriend. Ada sent my girlfriend all intimate photos of Ada and me, and one of them was shot when Ada was biting my ear.

I suddenly became a scumbag, so I was angry and asked Ada what she meant. Finally, she confessed to me.

Honestly, even though I had a girlfriend, in my mind, Ada was the best.

For me, Ada's words "I like you" were more attractive than thousands of words from other girls.

Looking at Ada, who was shy, I asked her, "On your eighteenth birthday, I confessed to you. Since you liked me, why did you reject me?"

"I thought friendship lasts longer than love. Now I've figured it out. Instead of letting you fall in love with someone else, I might as well be together with you. Don't you like me anymore?"

She was always arrogant, like a little princess.

But her personality was also developed by me, so how could I not like her?

My friends told me that Ada confessed to me because she broke up with her boyfriend and felt too bored.

But I didn't think so. I firmly believed that I gained Ada's love because of my years of hard work.

Our parents were old friends, so our relationship went smoothly.

Maybe because I knew how hard this love came, so I cherished it. Those years were the happiest years of my life.

I remembered that on my 25th birthday, my company had sent me on a business trip to the South.

Ada kept it a secret from me and took a plane just to celebrate my birthday two thousand kilometers away.

At that time, I swore that I would not marry anyone else except for Ada.

We got married after Ada graduated.

I thought we would be happy forever. But everything changed after half a year ago when Leo returned home.
