Chapter 8

Seeing the familiar date, Ezekiel breathed a sigh of relief, thinking that she was waiting for their wedding.

Little did he knew that she was just waiting to leave.

Half a month later, Ivy was finally discharged from the hospital and taken home by Ezekiel.

Ezekiel covered her eyes, led her to the master bedroom and then slowly let go of her hand.

The pure white and holy wedding dress comes into view, so dazzling under the light.

“Ivy, our wedding dress has arrived, go try it on.”

Ezekiel urged her, stuffed the wedding dress into her hands and said expectantly, “Ivy, you must be very beautiful in this wedding dress.”

But when her eyes fell on the wedding dress, Ivy suddenly felt ironic.

There was a red lip print there.

She understood that Letitia had tried on the wedding dress in advance and deliberately left traces to provoke her.

Ivy pushed aside the wedding dress, lowered her eyes to block the mockery in her eyes and said firmly, “The wedding dress is very beautiful, but there is no need to try it on.”

After all, she was not originally the owner of this wedding dress.

Before Ezekiel could speak, the phone rang suddenly. There was an urgent patient who needed him to go back.

He left in a hurry, completely unaware of Ivy's silence.

She reached out to pick up the phone, her eyes happened to meet the phone screen which he had not had time to cover.

On the screen was Letitia, wearing a white wedding dress and with a bright smile.

Ivy was a little dazed and when she looked up, she just happened to see Letitia who appeared out of nowhere.

Letitia raised her eyebrows slightly and reached out to touch the lip marks on her wedding dress contemptuously.

“Ivy, I won't beat around the bush with you. I think you should know that this wedding dress was bought according to my size.

“You are not worthy of touching my wedding dress.”

Looking at Letitia's resentful expression, Ivy calmed down and smiled faintly.

“So what?”

She asked back, opening her red lips and speaking word by word, “Our wedding is in ten days and your Ezekiel has no intention of canceling the wedding.”

As long as Ezekiel did not cancel the wedding and as long as she did not leave, Letitia would never be seen by others again.

Ivy hit a sore spot and Letitia's face turned red with anger, but she was powerless to refute. She could only watch her close the door and prepare to go to sleep.

Her chest heaved violently, Letitia's eyes darkened and her heart moved.

Before the wedding, Ivy finally recovered from her injuries and returned to work at the hospital.

But after the operation, she ran into Ezekiel and Letitia head-on.

As they looked at each other, she vaguely saw a flash of pride in Letitia's eyes. She frowned and inexplicably had a bad premonition.

Just as he was about to dodge, Letitia, holding a cup of black coffee, bumped into her.

Letitia screamed from the scalding heat of the hot coffee and reached out to grab Ezekiel beside her, her eyes reddened, “It hurts."

After saying that, she seemed to be threatened and quickly explained, “Ezekiel, please don't misunderstand Doctor Reid. She didn't hit me on purpose.

“It's just that I have an intern observation meeting this afternoon and my clothes... I don't have any spare clothes.”

After saying that, she lowered her head and sobbed.

Of course, she had no spare clothes because her other white coat was hanging on the balcony of Ezekiel’s house.

Obviously, Ivy and Ezekiel both thought of it.

Ezekiel looked at Letitia's tears and the soiled white coat with an expression of pity. He turned his gaze to Ivy and spoke in a tone that did not allow for negotiation.

“Ivy, be good. Let Letitia wear your clothes first.”

Listening to his commanding tone and looking down at her own hands that were also scalded red, Ivy felt a prick of pain in her heart, but her face remained cold, “Ezekiel, find out, it was she who bumped into me. Besides, I only have one piece of clothing today.”
