Chapter 2

Now, I have absolutely no interest in that woman named Sophia.

They have no idea that I have not only seen clubs like this, but that I have over a few hundred of them in my neighborhood.

Even the high-end club where he is now belongs to me.

He took me into a private room, and when the door opened, I saw quite a few people inside.

There are many men and women among them.

As soon as the greasy-haired man opened the door of the private room, he walked straight towards Sophia.

"Mr. Delaney, I've brought the person!"

"Mr. Delaney, with all due respect, he is not worthy of you. Look at him, how poorly he is dressed!"

The man walked up to Sophia and whispered, "Besides, I just brought him in and I could even smell his stench!"

"I don't know which construction site this guy is working as a laborer on, but now that he knows you have an engagement, he dares to come to your house!"

The other party whispered to Sophia: "Mr. Delaney, you can't be fooled by him!"

"Of course I won't!"

Sophia said with a smile, and then turned her eyes to me.

When she looked at me, I could still see the disgust in Sophia's eyes.

"You are Silas, right?"

Sophia said calmly, "I really didn't expect you to be so ignorant of yourself!"

"You don't really think I'll marry you?"

When she finished saying this, many people around her were pointing at me.

"Look at this poor guy, his clothes are almost white from washing!"

"If Sophia marries a man like this, she will be embarrassed in the future!"

"Of course Sophia won't marry him, but he came to our party today, and Sophia said it would be fun to play with him!"

I listened to the discussions around me, and a hint of impatience appeared on my face.

"Mrs. Delaney, my name is Silas! Originally, I was supposed to be your fiancé!"

I looked at Sophia and said coldly, "But since Mrs. Delaney is not interested, I'm leaving!"

At this moment, I no longer have the slightest interest in Sophia.

Such a woman is not a good match at all.

I can also go back and report to my mother.

But I didn't expect that when I was about to leave, Sophia's assistant suddenly stretched out his foot and tripped me.

The next moment, I lost my balance and crashed to the side.

In order to keep my balance, I grabbed something in panic.

However, when the man saw me stop, he reached out and actually pushed over a vase next to him.

The vase shattered and I frowned at the other person.

The other party looked at me and said, "You broke the vase, you have to pay for it!"

"This vase is an antique, worth millions!"

"You are a country bumpkin, you will never be able to pay for it in your lifetime!"

Hearing this, I couldn't help but laugh.

I was standing three steps away from the vase, but the other party said that I was the one who broke the vase.

I turned to look at Sophia, with a hint of coldness in my eyes, and asked, "Mrs. Delaney, what do you mean?"

Sophia looked at me with contempt and said, "Didn't my assistant tell me? You broke the vase, you have to pay for it!"

"You can't even pay for this vase, can you?"

"If you can't pay it back, then beg me. Maybe I can pay it for you!"

I looked at Sophia and the men and women watching the show around me, and at that moment, I understood.
