"Seriously, is that even possible?" Queenie scoffed. "Two guys with the same face and the same name? Who are you trying to fool?"

By now, I knew there was no talking my way around it. I let out a long breath. "Alright. Since you want the truth so bad, yeah, the man you're calling your father is also my dad.

“But before you go off again, hear me out: my mom is not a mistress. She and my dad are legally married. They did a full background check before anything happened. He wasn’t married to anyone else.

"And before you bring up the last name thing, yes, I have my mom’s surname. That doesn’t mean anything shady. It was their choice. Happens all the time. So don’t twist it around. My mom’s the legal wife. If there’s an illegitimate child here, it’s not me, it’s you."

Queenie's expression tightened and she slammed her foot into the door with a loud thud. "Right, of course you'd say that. Blame my mom. That’s what people like you do. For your information, my parents have been together forever, childhood sweethearts. They've always been close. Your mom? She showed up later. She's the one who wrecked things."

My mom didn’t even flinch. She calmly turned to the servant. "Can you bring me the marriage certificate?"

A minute later, the nanny returned and handed her a document. My mom stepped forward and offered it to Queenie. "You wanted proof? Here it is. This is the official marriage certificate for Salvatore and me."

Queenie grabbed it with a smug look, like she was just waiting to call it fake. But as soon as she felt it, saw the real seal and the worn edges, something shifted. Her smirk faded. She looked… unsure.

My mom didn’t miss a beat. "I never imagined Salvatore was living a double life. I didn’t know he had another family or a daughter this old. But now that I do, I'm done. I’ll divorce him. I don’t want a man like that."

Queenie was already scrolling through her phone. "Wow, impressive. You even had time to fake a marriage certificate. I’ve seen your type before. You seduce someone else’s husband and then act all innocent when people come knocking."

She turned her screen toward us. "Look here, this is my parents’ marriage certificate. Check the date. Earlier than yours. So what do you have to say now?"

I was about to respond when the front door suddenly opened and in walked a group of men in black. They were tall, built like bodyguards and they didn’t look like they were here to deliver pizza.

Queenie didn’t even acknowledge me, just turned to the men in black and snapped, "Kick them out, get them out of my family's house!"

I saw the looks my classmates were giving me, kind of shocked, like they were piecing everything together. They didn’t seem as supportive as before.

One of them muttered, "Ah, so that’s why she always kept a low profile. Guess she was hiding this."

Another one added, "Makes sense. I’ve been to Queenie’s house, but it’s nothing compared to Yesenia’s place. Her mom really knows how to live."

And then someone else said, "You have to be careful, Queenie. Looks like your dad might favor Yesenia more than you. Are you sure you wanna do this? What if he finds out?"

That only seemed to fuel Queenie’s rage even more. She pointed at me and shouted, "Smash everything! This is my house and I’ll break whatever I want! How the hell is my dad helping her and not me?!"

Right after that, the men didn’t even wait. They stormed into my room, throwing my stuff around, expensive jewelry, all the things I had saved up for, just trashed on the floor like it didn’t matter.

My mom stepped forward, her face going pale. She wanted to step in, but I grabbed her, pulling her back and shaking my head. I stood in front of her, protecting her from getting in the middle of it.

At the same time, I quickly sent a message to security and my dad.

She was confused, not fully understanding why I was stopping her, but I knew better. If she got involved now, it could only end badly. Stuff could be replaced, but her safety was what mattered most.

Even if I laid it all out for her, there was no way my mom could come out of this without being hurt. The damage was already done.

Queenie must’ve noticed the look on our faces, because after she finished wrecking the place, she suddenly waved her hand and yelled, "Wait, what am I doing? This is my family’s stuff! Why am I smashing it? I don’t even want any of this, I could’ve just sold it for money."

Then she turned back to the guys she brought and said, "Tie them up. I’m selling them off tonight, send them abroad. Since you love men so much, go earn money with that. And you all, go have your fun now."

The thugs started toward us, smirking like this was just another job. My classmates didn’t even flinch. Instead, they took out their phones like they were about to record some juicy drama.

Just as the men reached for my mom and me, a familiar voice rang out from the door. "Stop."
