Chapter 5

My eyes fluttered open and I stretched languorously.

My muscles sighed, like they could feel the warm feeling in my chest. I looked around, as a frown settled on brows.

Where was I? I was in a room I had never seen before. It wasn't my room back home. I wasn't at Brittany or Tricia's place either.

I sat up in bed, my hand moving to my head. My head was wrapped in a bandage.

Huh? Someone treated my wounds...I must have looked a mess to whoever found me.

But who found me? I looked down at myself in a flash wondering if whoever it was took off my clothes and I wanted to know how badly I was hurt.

I had a bandage wrapped around my stomach too and I realized I was naked.

Whose house was I in and whose bed was this?

But the bed was really soft! A King sized bed, it was a master bedroom and there was a big walking closet as big as a room.

The room was painted in a midnight blue color. I gasped as my hands touched my hair.

Like my hair. That wasn't creepy...a lot of things in the room were a midnight blue color.

Maybe it was just a coincidence. Whoever lived here was just obsessed with midnight blue.

I didn't see anything special about the color of you asked me.

But how did I get here? The last thing I remembered....

My eyes widened and I looked frantically around.

Was I dead? Heaven would white and not midnight blue right?

I moved too fast and my pain shot through me as my bandaged stomach ached.

I was definitely not dead.

'You're safe now.' Those words stole into my head and I smiled.

Somehow, I remembered that voice more clearly now even though I had been on the brink of unconsciousness last night.

Who was that? Did the person bring me here?

I was in a stranger's bed, naked. I hoped the stranger was a woman.

There was enough lighting in the room to tell me it was morning despite the dark painting.

The owner must be wealthy to be able to pull that off.

Oh God, no. My stepmom would flip and I would probably earn a beating again.

It didn't matter. I had been through worse and her beatings didn't hurt anymore at this point.

I couldn't leave because I was naked and I couldn't go wandering in a stranger's house.

And the door could be locked...

I looked up when I heard the door opening, and then a man walked in.

My breath caught as he walked further into the room, his eyes fixed on me.

I was unable to breathe and I couldn't have looked away if I wanted to.

He was tall! He looked at least 6 feet and several inches, how would my 5 feet, five look next to him?

My head would probably stop at his chest.

And God, he was built. His work out routine must be crazy for him to maintain those abs, his shirt wasn't doing much.

And his face, his eyes...grey, dark like mine. Like they had seen everything the world had to offer.

But his facial features were more defined, telling me he was much older than my eighteen years.

So why the hell had my body suddenly gone hot? Why was my heart fluttering against my ribcage.

Those eyes...they swept over me intently, my nipples hardened instantly and I paled.

What the hell? I bit down on my tongue to stop a gasp from escaping.

His eyes darkened as he cocked his head.

I had the bedcovers over me but I felt like he could see my naked breasts and how my nipples were aching for him.

My naked breasts...my eyes widened and I screamed and pulled further away, as if I could disappear into the headboard.

"Who are you? Did you take my clothes off?" I asked in horror, my heart in my throat.

He smiled, making my heart slam crazily against my ribcage.

God. How could one man be this attractive? And why the hell did I find a man old enough to be my father attractive?

His wife could be in the living room with their children or something.

"You're awake." He said in a husky voice.

Damn, his voice sent shock waves straight to my pussy.

Unconsciously, I drew my legs together, clutching the covers between my legs.

My eyes and I gasped realizing what I just did and that he had noticed everything.

He walked slowly towards the bed, his dark eyes fixed on me, and stopped right in front of me.

I sat there, unmoving, staring wildly up at him as he leaned down towards me.

He smiled, no...smirked. What on earth was he so smug about?

"Did I make you wet?" He asked in an amused voice.

My cheeks reddened and I scurried away from him, stammering.

"What...I...you're...oh fuck me..." I exclaimed in frustration and he gave me a sly look and I face palmed myself.

Oh God. I was such an idiot. I peaked out at him through my fingers and he was still staring down at me, his expression one of amusement.

A knock came on the door and he pulled away from me to answer the door and I breathed a sigh of relief.

A woman about Miranda's age walked in. She was carrying a tray of food and in it was a transparent bag with my bag and belongings.

She held my shoes in her other hand. She dropped them on the bedside table and smiled at me.

"You're awake." She said with a smile. I couldn't help but smile back.

My eyes trailed back to the man who was watching me.

"This is Martha, my housekeeper. She changed your clothes, gave you a shower and everything else." He explained.

My eyes widened and I turned to her to thank her. She asked how I was feeling and then left.

I was left alone with the man once again and I tried to avoid his eyes as I reached for my things.

My handbag and my phone and the necklace Logan had given me for my birthday.

Seeing the necklace made me sick and I stuffed it into my handbag.

"What about my clothes?" I asked slowly, not looking up at him.

He walked towards the closet and then he walked back towards me and threw a midnight blue shirt at me.

Huh? Obsessed much?

Unable to hide my amusement, I teased him.

"Do you have an obsession with this color or something?" I asked, amusement in my voice.

He didn't smile when he stared deep into my eyes and replied.

"I think it's going to be my obsession from now on."

My breath hitched when I realized he wasn't talking about any of his things. So, he noticed the color of my hair?

I couldn't help the blush that crept its way onto my cheeks.

"Put that on. Your clothes were destroyed and there's no one but Martha and I here."

I looked up at him in surprise. He wasn't married? Why did I care?

"I mean my clothes are the only things here that will fit you."

I nodded and stared at him, waiting. He turned around and I got out of bed and quickly put on the shirt.

My cheeks colored as I took my panties from the things Martha brought up wondering if he had seen them.

I quickly put them on and when I was done, I told him it was okay to turn around.

His eyes were fixed on me as he suddenly walked closer to me.

Without warning, he grabbed my waist and pulled me flush against him.

I looked up at him in shock and alarm but got mesmerized in his eyes.

His hands moved to my hair.

"This color looks great on you." He whispered, his lips hovering only inches from mine.

I waited, wondering and hoping he kissed me.
