Fake Promise: Abandoning My Alpha Prince

“Ms Revara, congratulations, you are pregnant.” The doctor congratulated me. “Since you are a recessive omega,pregnancy can be difficult. Please be more careful.”

“Thank you, Dr Bridgejit.” I smiled and stood up. My wolf was almost dancing in joy and was excited to pass the good news to her Alpha, Ethan. I patted her fur mentally.

But as soon as I started the car, another two cars followed behind me. I drove fast but they still managed to surround me.

One of them yanked me out of the car and pinned me against the car.

Since I was pregnant now, I was truly sensitive when it came to smelling pheromones and their pheromones were straight out disgusting.

“What do you want?” I tried to appear calm.

“Alpha Prince’s girlfriend.” One of the alphas smirked.

Another man’s voice was deep and threatening, “Only when we take ‘care’ of you, Mr Prince will come.”

Well, it was not new to be attacked like this since I got together with Ethan. The Elphine Pack was powerful and formidable. It was no wonder that they had numerous enemy and since they couldn't get their hands on Ethan, they could only use me as his weakness.

My wolf showed up and prepared to hunt everyone down. Being an Omega, my energy couldn't match those three alphas, so I chose to run as soon as I came out of their hands.

I didn't know how long I had run before reaching in front of Ethan's office.

“Ethan!” I called out his name loudly and shoved my weak body in his arms, my wolf was contained and closed her eyes, “They are here again.”

But Ethan pushed me away and looked at my blood soaked white dress with disdain.

“Medusa, can’t you be more careful.” His voice was cold as ice when he fetched his secretary, “Take her to the hospital.”

When Clara, his personal assistant, was looking at me curiously, he pulled her closer and said gently, “Don't look at the blood. It brings bad luck.”

I was devastated at that time already, but the Moon goddess didn't want to spare me.

I had a miscarriage.

I lost my child about whom I just got to know in the morning.

“Lana!” I called my wolf gently who had already wetted his facial fur with tears.

I didn't last long in the hospital before heading home, dejected and exhausted.

When I entered our bedroom, the strong scent hit my nostrils.

“Fuck.” I mumbled, picking up the fancy laced lingerie from the underneath of our bed.

I sniffed the scent again and I had no doubt I recognized the orange-like aroma…

Clara! Clara Creeks.

“Good.” I mumbled, tossing the lingerie aside. The sight of it only made me nauseous.

“Since they can stoop to this low, I won't hold back either” I gave Lana the last explanation before making a call, “Mr Lengerhan, I want to join your agency.”

“Ms Revara, Thank goodness.” Mr Lengerhan sounded excited, “You're always welcome.”

I paused for a while before continuing, “Make sure to be fast. I want to join in two weeks.”

“Don't worry.” The excitement in his voice didn't fade, “I already drafted everything and will send you today.”

“Good.” I smiled.

With this, I hung up the call and opened my laptop.

Since I was leaving, I would not let my hard work make a profit for others. I suffered to stay in this pack as Ethan’s lover. Since I belonged to an ordinary origin, they never accepted a weak omega as their future Luna. But until now, I had a reason to endure all those resentment but now I had nothing.

“If you could betray our love, I could too.” I sorted everything and transferred to another laptop.

As soon as I finished, Ethan came inside, drenched and his hair was damped.

“What're you doing?” He uttered.

“I’m taking what's mine.” I answered deliberately but as usual he didn't pay any attention.

“Oh.” He nodded while glueing his eyes on the phone.

For the first time, I didn't make any fuss and argue with him.

When I looked outside, it was raining. Looking at this man wet all over in front me, my mouth twitched.

“Since when did you like to play in the rain?” I raised my eyebrows.

Ethan opened his mouth to say something but what came out was nothing but a white lie, “It's nothing. I had no umbrella with me and got soaked while coming.”

And he wanted me to believe it? I shrugged and indulged myself in the past.

“Ethan, I like rain.” I clung onto his hand, “Let’s play under the rain.”

“Medusa, are you crazy?” He withdrew his hand, “I hate rain. Don't you know how nasty Wolves smell after being wet?”

“Oh!” I pouted and looked at the drizzle outside, “I didn't care about the smell.”

“Then go, play alone.” Ethan frowned and went away.

I was sad but since he didn't like it,I no longer played in the rain. But now, he could do anything for Clara, even when he hated it the most.

I could still smell her scent from his body and clothes. How close were they that they almost drained each other with pheromones?

Noticing my unusual silence, Ethan spoke up, “I consulted with the doctor, he said that there was only superficial injury. You will be alright after a few days' rest.”

“Hmm.” I hummed and focused on my work.

Ethan frowned at my behaviour and wanted to say something but then the light on his phone screen lit up.

His annoyed face instantly turned bright.

He quickly typed something and subconsciously reached for the ginger tea which was usually placed on the bedside table.

“Where's my tea?” He picked the empty cup and was puzzled.

“I didn't make it.” I didn't look up from my laptop screen.

“Why?” The annoyance in his voice was back again.

“Ethan, I am busy.” I muttered, “It's good if you help yourself sometime. Don't always bother me.”

Ethan knotted his brows tightly and almost shouted.

“Medusa, is that your new act?”
