I covered my face and nodded lightly.

Then, I said timidly, "I taught her the same way the teacher taught me back then. Maybe she's not used to it. I'll go into more detail."

Sandra nodded with satisfaction, not understanding the implication at all.

But Monica's face darkened. Just as she was about to speak, I interrupted her.

I said to Sandra, "There's only less than a week before July 15th. The Pratt family will prepare a lot of things in advance for this special day every year. Do you want Monica to do the preparation this year?"

Monica nodded and didn't say anything, but her eyes revealed a trace of anticipation.

But Sandra shook her head.

She said, "It's a hard job. You should prepare for it! Don't make any mistakes. I want to take this opportunity to formally announce that Monica is my daughter."

I nodded in agreement.

"Okay. Monica just came back and doesn't know much about the rules. By the way, Dad asked Monica to go to work tomorrow. Which position do you want her to take?" I asked Sandra.

Sandra glanced at me.

Then, she said impatiently, "Monica is more than qualified to be the general manager. Her teachers all say that she is a good student!"

If we let her become the general manager without a convincing reason, my subordinates would definitely not accept it. I had some say in the company, so I thought Sandra would definitely listen to me.

Sure enough, Sandra thought my words made sense.

"You're right," she said to me. Then, she turned to look at Monica, saying, "Baby, you should learn from her first. The Pratt Group will be yours in the future."

Monica forced a smile and nodded.

She said, "Mom, I will do my best. You and Dad can rest assured. I won't let you down."

I tried hard to hold back my laughter and curled my lips. I was actually very much looking forward to that day.

The next day, I went to the company with Monica and let her be my subordinate's assistant.

I said to Monica, "Monica, do your best. Remember to keep your identity from others, or you will be looked down upon."

She blushed and glared at me.

"You impostor! You'll get kicked out sooner or later! Just wait and see. I'll make you kneel down and beg me."

I smiled and leaned towards her.

Then, I whispered into her ear, "Let's wait and see, Miss Pratt."

After that, I went to work and completely ignored Monica.

When I was in a meeting with an important client, Monica barged in without knocking first.

After the meeting, I called Monica over and scolded her in front of everyone.

But Monica just gave me a disdainful smile.

She said casually, "Irene, have you forgotten your identity? Since you said so, I don't have to hide mine from others anymore."

Then, she looked around and spoke proudly.

"She's not the biological daughter of the Pratt family. She's just an imposter! I am the real daughter of the Pratt family!"
