Three Years After Breaking Up, Ex-boyfriend Seeks Love Again Chapter 1

My boss took me to a cocktail party, but when I got there, I realized it was just a private gathering.

My ex-boyfriend Edwin Jayden, whom I had broken up with three years ago, harassed me, and I couldn't stand it any longer. "Edwin, we broke up! Why are you doing this?"

Suddenly, a voice came out from the crowd, "Wow, you are the girl who broke up with Edwin!"

"Edwin hasn't been over you these past few years."

"Heh, he just wants to torture me." I sneered.

Suddenly, the room became quiet.

"Oh my god, what word did I just use?" I thought.

I wanted to explain, but Edwin seemed to be amused.

He stroked his wine glass with his fingers. "I do want to torture you."

I was rendered speechless.

So embarrassing!

I was brought to the party by my boss,

and only then did I realize that my boss and my ex-boyfriend, whom I had broken up with three years ago, were actually childhood friends.

Suddenly, I remembered many years when Edwin had told me about his childhood friend who had lived abroad.

He was afraid that I would fall in love with that person and refused to show me what he looked like.

Since graduating from college and breaking up with Edwin, I have been working at Watson Media.

I used to wonder why Watson Media hired me as a PR intern with a salary of ten thousand dollars.

I knew I was capable, but it was still unbelievable for an intern at Watson Media to be offered such a high salary.

As a result, there was a time when I was misunderstood as a "privileged hire" in the company.

However, I had never even met the boss before. How could I be considered privileged?

Fortunately, I was good at my job.

Otherwise, I might have thought that my stingy CEO was trying to hit on me.

My boss, Patrick Chane, asked me to sit next to Edwin.

I stole a glance at Edwin, who was a little distance away from me, and whispered, "No, I'm allergic to that person."

Just then, Edwin's voice boomed, "I heard that you are allergic to me?"

Almost standing up in shock,

I turned around and said in a flattering way, "Mr. Jayden, you are so handsome. Who would be allergic to a handsome guy like you?"

Patrick interjected, "You just solemnly swore in front of me that you were allergic to him."

I rolled my eyes at Patrick, telling him to shut up.

So, I couldn't refuse the proposal to sit next to Edwin.

Just as I sat down, I suddenly realized that I wasn't very familiar with most of the people in the room.

There were a few girls in the crowd, but none of whom I recognized.

At the same time, they all focused their gaze on Edwin, who was beside me, as if waiting for him to speak.

Edwin remained silent, and the others didn't dare to say anything.

I wondered if he was mad because of what I just said.

But Edwin wasn't that kind of person in my eyes.

I downed the wine in front of me in one gulp, and just as I finished it, it was filled up again.

I followed the hand holding the glass and coincidentally met Edwin's face.

"What are you doing?"

Edwin's face showed no emotion. "I, the person you're allergic to, just poured that wine. Let's see if it can poison you to death."

I replied, "Edwin, why are you so petty?"

I just didn't expect a grown man to be so sensitive.

Actions speak louder than words!

As my gaze fell on the refilled glass, I sighed and felt an inexplicable sense of frustration.

Actually, I couldn't drink much.

After drinking three glasses in a row, I seriously doubted whether Edwin did it intentionally.
