Evil Spirits Enter the World
Chapter 3
[She had a great body. What a shame. She could have been a presentable wife. Ha, ha, ha...]
Infuriated by the remarks, I slammed my ghost hands on the desk!
With a click, the glass on the desk was cracked under the force of my resentment.
Unaware of anything unusual, the man put away his phone, got up, and got an umbrella from the cabinet.
Umbrella? He was going to go out with an umbrella.
I quickly followed him and jumped directly onto his shoulders.
After walking out of the building, he unfurled the umbrella before walking into the sunlight.
I was secretly delighted. It was precisely what I had hoped for.
Dude, your death was approaching.
Along the way, he had been purposefully or inadvertently using the umbrella to shield my soul.
His destination was a software company!
"Mr. Gregory Sinclair, correct? Please come with me. Mr. Walker himself has arranged the office you will be working in," a receptionist took the initiative to welcome him.
It turned out that today was his first day working at the new company.
It was just that this company looked indescribably familiar.
"Where's Mr. Walker?" he asked.
"Mr. Walker is out on business. Do you need him for some reason?" the receptionist replied.
"Nothing. Go back to your affairs," said Gregory.
From the moment I entered this company alongside him, I felt uncomfortable all over.
Could it be that I had been here before I died?
Gregory began to tidy up his desk. He took out a pink glass from his bag and placed it on the desk.
As he looked at the glass on the desk, a smile flashed across his face.
But it soon disappeared.
Just as I was thinking about how to kill him, a voice suddenly sounded from behind me.
As soon as the voice rang out, my whole soul was trembling!
"You must be Mr. Sinclair, the new manager. Such panache," the person provocatively and unreasonably remarked, emanating a sweet and disgusting smell of perfume.
Gregory cast a downward gaze, briefly glancing in my direction. However, I didn't notice it as I was squatting under his desk with my head down.
I had no idea of what he was thinking.
"You are?" Gregory asked.
"I am Ryan Davis, the technical director of this company. Even Mr. Walker has to show me some respect."
"Ryan Davis," I muttered under my breath.
In an instant, it felt as if a hole had opened up in my mind, releasing a flood of fragmented memories that surged forth.
Ryan! It was him.
I remembered him. I knew this guy.
Within those memory fragments, I saw him harassing me many times, groping at me, and threatening me verbally.
If I was not mistaken, he had been my immediate superior when I was alive!
Now, I was not even afraid of ghosts, let alone a human being.
So, I flew out from under the desk, channeling all my resentment. I crashed into his forehead, causing him to feel dizzy and nearly spilling the coffee he held in his hand.
"What's going on? Where did this wind come from? Mr. Sinclair, did you feel it?"
Little did I know that Gregory was watching all my actions.
"No, Mr. Davis. I've got work to do. Talk to you later," said Gregory.
Holding his forehead, Ryan left Gregory's office in a daze.
As soon as he reached the door, Gregory added, "Take care, Mr. Davis."
He predicted that Ryan would be in trouble today.
I didn't quite understand Gregory. But I would never miss this opportunity for revenge. I had been a qualified water ghost over the years.
