Chapter 1

Kimberly' Pov

I walked with a smile toward my husband, who was chatting with his best friend. Today I lied to my husband about not being able to come to his office party because I wanted to surprise him.

However, when it was getting close. I stopped my steps. My breath seemed to stop listening to their conversation.

"Why didn't your wife come, William?"

"I invited her, but she didn't want to come." After all, her coming would only embarrass me."

I was surprised to hear my husband's answer. My heart was beating fast, I tried to hold back my tears. It was the first time I heard William's bad words.

"How long will you keep Kimberly?"

"Actually, Kimberly is no longer attractive in my eyes. I was bored with her, but the presence of Audrey made me excited again."

"It's great that you can get their hearts. But you have to choose one of them, William. If I were you. I would choose Audrey, she is more beautiful and sexy."

"Right, I also prefer Audrey. However, I still want to play with Kimberly. She's like my pet dog. Obedient and willing to do anything for me. Even if I tell her to smell animal poop, she will definitely do it," William replied out loud.

"You crazy guy, how does Kimberly not know your ugliness? You're very good at hiding it, William."

"I'm not crazy, Kimberly is. She's an innocent woman, she's blind with love. So she never knows what her husband is doing. Besides, I told you, she's like a dog. Can you imagine how crazy a dog goes when it finds its master?"

My body stiffened at the sound of Wiliam's laughter. I bit my lower lip to hold back my emotions and hurt. I couldn't hold back my tears when I heard William likening me to a dog.

I cried while clutching my pregnancy test. Then the cake I was holding in my right hand fell over.

"Then what about Audrey? She can't possibly want to be your second wife, she'll definitely ask for a divorce from Kimberly."

"If Audrey asks, I will."

Tonight William had taken off his mask. My body felt weak at the words of William, who was planning to divorce me.

"I'm sorry, honey, it looks like your father doesn't want you," I replied softly while stroking my stomach.

I originally wanted to give William a surprise, but apparently I was the one who got an unforgettable surprise from him. My heart broke into pieces after learning of William's infidelity.

How could the man who had given me so much warmth and love betray me? And the most shocking thing was that my husband was having an affair with my younger sister.

We were together for seven years, but I didn't know. They were either very good at hiding it, or I was the fool for trusting them too much.

I stepped away before William knew where I was. Tonight I looked so weak, even the pouring rain welcomed my sadness.

I ran very far with my clothes soaking wet. I started to lose my way.

How can I live under these circumstances?

My footsteps finally stopped at a beach. Staring at the rushing waves made me scream.

"That bastard ...."

I was broken, but that didn't mean I had to end my life. If I die, William will be happy with Audrey. And the child inside my stomach has no faults. I don't want to be a cruel mother.

"Honey, you can't end your life. You are innocent, dear, I have wanted you for a long time. And all your father's behavior is too much. William can't find out about my pregnancy," I said while stroking my stomach and crying.

I returned home with a weak body. I went into my room to change my clothes that were wet from the rain.

I stared at every corner of the room, reminding me how romantic William was. We expressed our love to each other. I looked so stupid for being fooled all this time with him.

And I haven't seen William's whereabouts since I got home earlier. It seemed like he was still busy partying with his friends without remembering me.

I stared at my pale, stupid-looking face in the reflection of the mirror. Suddenly I burst into tears again. Every sentence William said at the party was ringing in my head.

I climbed onto the bed and wiped my tears. William can't know that I'm crying. I tried to close my eyes when I felt my head throbbing. And just as I was about to close my eyes, I was surprised to hear the sound of the bedroom door opening.

"Sorry I came home late."

William's arrival made me grip the blanket tightly. Seeing his face made me sick.

"It's okay, William. You must have had a good time. I apologize for not being able to be with you." I changed my position. I sat next to William, who was smiling at me.

"It's not really a pity, I'm just sad. I miss you, Kimberly," William said with a twist of his lips.

"Sorry, William, my head really hurts earlier."

"It's okay, how are you now?" asked William while checking my forehead.

I was silent, looking at William, who treated me sweetly. His attitude would only make him look cruel in my eyes.

"I'm getting better, William," I replied with a faint smile.

"Have you eaten, Kimberly?"

I shook my head. The attention William was giving me would only make me hate him more. "I have no appetite, it's late. I want to sleep, my head hurts."

"Alright dear, I won't bother you. I'll massage your head."

William took me to sleep on the bed, he massaged my head. While I held back my tears from falling.

"Did Audrey get the same treatment?" I asked myself.

I lay my body to the side. I tried to close my eyes.

"It looks like Kimberly is already asleep, you disobedient wife. She should have refused if I wanted to massage her. She already knew I was tired, instead of serving me. I'd better call Audrey."

I was silent for a moment, slowly my tears fell at the sound of William's voice. I wasn't asleep yet.

I tried to hold back my sobs so as not to be heard by William when I heard the sound of William and Audrey's intimate conversation.
