The Blood Sucking Family I Married Into Refused to Let Me Go

The bystanders, ever eager for drama, stirred the pot even more.

“A daughter-in-law like her just needs a good beating. Hit her a few times and she’ll behave.”

Before the words even settled in the air, a loud slap landed across my face. The impact sent me stumbling to the ground.

I looked up at him in disbelief.

We’d known each other for six years, and married for three.

He had a temper, sure—but he had never laid a hand on me, until now.

At that moment, I knew—whatever love or bond we once had as husband and wife was completely over.

“Alessio! What do you think you’re doing?!”

My mother-in-law rushed to help me up.

One second she was comforting me, the next she was trying to calm Alessio down.

“Let’s do this, Aisha,” she said, trying to play mediator. “Just give us two hundred thousand dollars. We won’t ask about the rest. We’re family—don’t let money tear us apart.”

Alessio had just barely calmed down when her words made his blood boil again.

Why should he let it go?

Why shouldn’t he demand answers about his money?

He was her biological son—how could she be taking the side of an outsider?

His thoughts became words.

And my mother-in-law, caught in the middle, suddenly had nothing more to say.

I stood up and slapped him back, hard.

Word by word, I said, “I. Don’t. Have. The. Money.”

“You really think you’re some financial genius, huh?”

The fury in my voice was impossible to hide.

My mother-in-law didn’t dare look me in the eye.

Her gaze drifted—landed on my belly instead.

Alessio didn’t respond. He didn’t understand. He just kept demanding I hand over his five hundred thousand.

The argument spiraled. We tore into each other like mortal enemies—accusations flying with no filter, no restraint.

There was no more pretense of harmony.

In the end, furious and humiliated, he roared, “Fine! If you won’t give it to me, I’ll make you cough it up. That money belongs to my family!”

And he didn’t just talk tough—he acted on it.

Two days later, he showed up at my brother’s new home—and refused to leave.

“This house was bought with my money. Why shouldn’t I be allowed to live here?”

My brother stood by helplessly.

Alessio sprawled out on the sofa, clearly not planning to move an inch unless he got paid.

Marriage really changes a man, doesn’t it? Or maybe... this was who he was all along—and I had simply failed to see it.

He was shameless. Even when the building management showed up with security, he acted like a king.

“Touch me if you dare,” he threatened. “This house was bought with my money—I’m the rightful owner! I’m your goddamn client!”

The security guards didn’t dare use force. So I called my mother-in-law.

“Mom,” I said, “I don’t know why Alessio is so convinced he could’ve saved five hundred thousand, but I’m sure you know the truth.”

“After all, you were in charge of the finances before I married into this family.”

My mother-in-law remained composed. She turned to Alessio and said firmly, “Son, let’s not talk about the money anymore. It only hurts our relationship. Let’s just move forward and live in peace.”

“We can always earn more.”

Alessio couldn’t understand it.

Why was his own mother letting this go—giving up on tracking down the family’s entire savings?

His face twisted in disbelief.

I was tired of the accusations, of being painted as someone who stole from my in-laws.

I reached for my phone to show them the records—but before I could unlock it, my mother-in-law snatched it and shoved it back into my pocket.

She was visibly angry for the first time.

Alessio noticed and, seething but subdued, followed her out.

But the look he gave me before leaving was cold, and venomous—as if telling me this wasn’t over.

I knew then: Alessio had tossed aside all shame. He was in it for war.

Later, I sat at my desk at work, eyebrows furrowed in annoyance—while Alessio knelt beside my chair.

“Wife,” he begged, “the money in that household account—it’s not just mine. It’s my parents’ blood and sweat too. Please, I’m begging you, give it back.”

My coworkers, who had been hesitant to take sides, couldn’t resist joining in now.
