Divorcing My Doctor Husband After He Neglected His Sick Son

My son was seriously ill,but my husband abandoned the operation.It wasn't because he was unskilled,in fact Michael was'the genius surgeon'in our hospital.

Michael left as soon as he heard that his first love had returned to the country.He then handed the surgery to an intern instead.Because of that,Archer lost too much blood during the operation and almost fell into a coma.

I begged my husband to save Archer.He agreed.

During the second surgery,Archer waited for a long time in the operating room.However,my husband still did not appear.

I called him for god knows how many times.It felt like he rejected my tens of calls.On the hundredth call,he finally answered,coldly.

“I need to deal with a really important matter right now.I’ll be one hour late.Let Archer wait.”

The call soon got cut off without hesitation.

I was about to call again when my phone suddenly received a warning notification from my home security camera.

The image from the cctv camera shattered my world.My husband and his first love were lying naked together on his bed.

“You’re not going to the hospital?Aren’t you afraid something will really happen to Archer?”Alicia asked.

The man smiled and gently pinched her cheek.“Little devil,you know very well that bastard isn’t my child.”

“Elizabeth is such an idiot.She still doesn’t know I faked the boy's paternity test back then.She also doesn’t know that the boy is actually Franco’s.”

“If you ask me,it would be better if he died.Elizabeth and Franco’s child doesn’t deserve to inherit anything from me.”

Cold sweat instantly soaked my body,but his heartless voice continued.

“One week from now,at my promotion celebration,I’ll drug Elizabeth and ruin her in public.”

My pupils shrank.I wanted to scream,but no sound came out.After a long tremble,my thumb dialed another number.

“Franco,”I said softly,“I will make you the new hospital director.”

I have to make sure that Franco didn't refuse,so I told him the truth.“Franco…you are my son’s real father.”

There was a long silence on the other end of the phone.It was so long that I thought he had ended the call.

Then Franco said,“Elizabeth…what do you mean?”

I knew he didn’t believe me,so I told him everything from beginning to end.

Franco was stunned for a moment.

“I’ll help you out,”he said slowly.“But I have one condition.You must divorce Michael and marry me.Take Archer with you too.”

While looking at the two naked people tightly holding each other on my screen,I lowered my head and gave a bitter smile.

“Alright.When you come back from abroad,I’ll marry you.”

“I had a bit of trouble with my passport.It will take one week to get a new one.I’ll come to find you as soon as possible,”Franco said.

After the call ended,I gripped my phone tightly.I tried really hard to stop myself and not confront my husband right then and there.

I still remembered when Archer was just born.Michael had kissed my son's forehead and sincerely promised that Archer was his only heir.

Now,he was the one who wishing Archer dead.

I gave a self-mocking smile and was about to go find Archer.All of the sudden,someone bumped into my shoulder.

“Move aside!The patient’s condition has worsened,transfer him to the ICU!”said a nurse.

“The patient’s heart has stopped!Start resuscitation immediately!”a doctor shouted.

I was powerless and staggered backwards as I got pushed away.

Through the glass of the ICU,I watched helplessly as Archer was surrounded by the medical workers.When I lowered my head,I saw Michael’s lips moving over Alicia’s body on my phone screen.

In my left ear,I heard were the beeping machines in the ICU.In my right,I heard Michael's and Alicia's sighs.

I stared at the screen while tears filling my eyes.My head aching like it would explode.

Then my phone vibrated.It was a photo of a pregnancy check up document.Alicia sent it along with a couple of messages:

[The unloved woman among us is the actual mistress in this relationship.]

[Did you know?I intentionally came back that day because I knew Mike was going to operate on your son.I wanted to see who was more important to him.You or me.”]

[Now I’m pregnant with Mike’s child.He promised me this baby will be his only heir.So if you want that bastard of yours to live,you’d better disappear.]

My knees went weak and I almost fainted.

So that was why her return was so perfectly timed.That woman had planned all these!

My hands trembled as I stared at the photo.

Twelve weeks pregnant.So,it had been three months.

I leaned against the wall,bending over and gasping for air.Tears fell heavily onto the floor.

Three months ago,I got a sudden call from Archer’s teacher.She told me that my son had fainted in class.

The doctors found a rare disease on him.They said that only a genius surgeon like Michael could treat it.Yet,no one managed to contact him.

Full of hope,I called Michael on my own.

My calls got rejected numerous times.Just when I was about to give up,he finally answered.

Before I could beg him,I heard his impatient voice.“Stop calling me,would you?I’m busy!”

I ignored his rising voice and pleaded,“Honey,please,something happened to Archer—”

But a sweet voice from the other end interrupted me.

“Mike,who’s calling you?You said you’d spend today with me.”

The call was cut off immediately.

After that day,Archer missed the best treatment time and his condition worsened.

Michael said he was in a meeting with his assistant.But in truth,he was with Alicia Moore...and even got her pregnant.

The sounds of rescue in the ICU slowly stopped.The doctor came out and told me Archer was safe for now,but he must have surgery within two weeks.

I nodded and thanked him.

Through the glass,I gently touched Archer’s sleeping face.Then I lowered my head and downloaded a record from the security camera.

Since Michael had abandoned me and Archer,we would abandon him too.

I would make him and Alicia pay for everything!
