George raised the bottle in his hand.

I cautiously took a step back, accidentally bumping into Rebecca beside me.

I didn't exert much force, yet Rebecca ended up sitting on the ground, her knee scraped.

"Fay, are you ever going to stop?"

Logan forcefully pushed me away as if I were a raging beast about to harm his precious Rebecca.

"Rebecca, are you okay?"

Logan looked at Rebecca with concern.

I lowered my gaze, perplexed, as I watched Logan.

I thought, "If he cherishes her so much, why did he separate from Rebecca in the first place, and why did he end up with me?

If he truly loved her back then, how could he allow me to replace the person he likes, keeping me by his side for five years?"

Logan helped Rebecca up, glaring at me.

"Fay, I've already promised you a child. What more do you want?"

"I said I don't need it. I won't try the medicine, and I won't marry you, Logan. Can't you understand?"

"Not try it? You don't have a choice!"

With just a glance from Logan, his bodyguards behind me immediately restrained me.

"George, make her take the medicine."

I struggled but couldn't break free. George approached with the medicine, and in my panic, I looked desperately at Logan.

"Logan, I'm pregnant! You can't make me try the medicine!"

Logan thought I was making excuses to avoid taking the medication and scoffed.

"Fay, we've been taking precautions all along. You can't possibly be pregnant."

The failure rate of those precautions was five percent. Logan refused even to verify.

Beside me, George unscrewed the bottle cap.

I trembled with fear all over my body.

"Logan, our child is just two months old. The prenatal report is in my pocket. Take it out and see if I'm lying!"

Upon hearing my words, George halted, turning to Logan for direction.

"Mr. Brooks, if what she says is true..."

Logan, supporting Rebecca and standing very close to me, gazed at me before speaking. "Then abort it."

I struggled desperately.

"Logan! I'm really carrying our child. Please, I beg you. It took so much effort for me to conceive. I can't take the medicine!"

No one wanted to listen to me anymore.

George held my chin and poured the medicine into my mouth.

The medicine wasn't bitter, but it brought pain.

The pain shook my entire being.

It felt like an eternity before the bodyguard finally released me. I collapsed on the floor, feeling like a stagnant pool by the roadside.

Logan approached, lifting me and placing me on an empty bed in the next room.

"Be a good girl. Rest assured, no matter what happens, you're the Mrs. Brooks and you will always be my only one. The wedding is in three months. Rest well."

After saying that, Logan lightly kissed my forehead before leaving with his entourage.

I numbly raised my hand, vigorously wiping the spot where he had kissed me.

Suddenly, my stomach began to ache severely. Deep red blood gushed out in large amounts. I quickly lost consciousness.

Logan hadn't gone far when chaos erupted in the corridor. He watched as a group of doctors burst into my room, then emerged, pushing me, who was drenched in blood.

As we passed each other, the prenatal report fell out of my pocket.

George immediately picked it up.

He took a look, his voice trembling. "Mr. Brooks, she is indeed pregnant!"
