Chapter 2

I waited for all my classmates to leave the History class before approaching Prof. Samuel's table.

Professor Samuel still had his glasses on and was filling out a small form. When he finished, he handed it to me and took off his glasses. (Wow, Prof. Padalecki looks so hot, seriously!)

I glanced at the paper.

Detention Form.

"The room number and time are written there. Don't be late, or you'll get another violation," he said, looking up at me.

I just nodded, feeling a bit out of sorts. My clean record at this university is about to be tainted.

I glanced at Prof. Samuel. It seemed like he was reluctant to give me this. (Oh my, if I know, he's starting to fall for me! Haha!)

"I hate to do this, but I have to. I've let your lateness slide multiple times in my class. I understand you have your reasons, but I have to follow the university's protocol," he explained.

I just nodded along, looking down at the floor near his table.

"Orion," he called out to me. I looked at him, pouting like a sulking child.

My eyes widened even more, and I frowned. Suddenly, Prof. Samuel burst into laughter. I looked at him and saw that his face is turning red. Oh, goodness. He's so handsome. His smile is just perfect!

I couldn't help but smile back.

"That's okay, Miss Blanchard. Just do your best not to commit the same mistake again," he advised, returning to his formal demeanor.

I nodded. "Yes, Sir." I smiled a little.

"You may go," he motioned towards the door.

"Bye, Sir," I said as I walked out of 407A.

---

I walked slowly towards my next class, HOPE. I don't even feel like going. Just the act of walking feels heavy now. And then I have PE? Of all days, today's class isn't a discussion; it's all physical activities. Oh, well. Let's just go to Gym A.

I headed straight for the lockers when I arrived at Gym A. I absentmindedly changed into my PE uniform. Some of my kind classmates in PE greeted me (they're early not because they're excited to study, but probably just to catch a glimpse of our handsome hunky professor, Sir Ross Ackles), but I didn't pay much attention to them. I just smiled.

I left the locker room before them. They're still busy primping (for Sir Ackles). I walked straight to a bench.

"And what're ya thinkin' of?" I heard his very strong and delightful voice. I looked up into his wide, beautiful emerald eyes. Who else but our handsome HOPE professor, Sir Ross Ackles.

I just shook my head but smiled a little. Of course, who wouldn't smile at such a handsome face, right?

"I'm sure that's not me. 'Cause if that were me, you'd be smiling," he smirked. He's a bit of a flirt with the girls. I chuckled a bit. He's a bit cheeky but kind. He's one of my most beloved and kind professors.

"So, what's up? Aren't you gonna tell me what makes that little face of yours crumple?" he sat beside me on the bench.

I pulled out the form given by Sir Padalecki and handed it to Sir Ackles.

"Ohh... Detention," he said softly, showing sympathy.

"Lemme guess. Late again to Sammy's class?" yeah, he calls Sir Samuel "Sammy." They're best friends, after all.

I nodded.

My very kind professor burst into laughter.

Well, his sympathy didn't last long.

I frowned even more.

"Hey, sweetie! Don't give me that face... I'm just trying to cheer ya up," he said gently, rubbing my shoulder.

"It's not helping," I exhaled. "Gosh, Sir. This is the first time I've gotten this in my entire time at this school..." there, I feel like crying now. Darn it, Oreo! You're so emotional!

I was surprised when Sir Ackles suddenly hugged me and pulled me closer. "Aww, c'mon! Don't be sad! Worried about your record? That's just a piece of paper!" he chuckled. (Sexy! Hey Oreo, stop flirting!) "When I was in high school and college, my record was full of red remarks!" he laughed loudly. Geez, Sir, he's so proud of all those violations he had back then.

"Wow, Sir. You're really proud," I sarcastically said but teasingly.

"Of course! I used to be known as 'Ross-badass-Ackles'!" he said his title with so much feeling.

I can't help but laugh at him.

To make the long story of his 'glorious days' short, records don't matter much when you're on the busy streets of building your career.

"So, cheer up! That's just an hour of boring sitting and writing bullsh*ts, and then it's done!" he smiled. He held my chin and brought me closer to him. "C'mon, Sweetie! Show me a smile,"

I smiled. A genuine smile.

"That's it. Now, I have to go back to being professional," he stood up from the bench and tapped my shoulder. "You follow soon. Our class is about to start," he turned his back to leave, "but before that," he spun on his heel and looked back at me... and blew a flying kiss with a wink.

Oh, my heart, it skipped a beat! Haha, that man is so shameless. He's so good at making me blush!

I laughed. "You're such a flirt, Sir! Nuff of this! Your fangirls will get jealous!"

He laughed and left.

I just smiled as he left. Our conversation helped lighten my mood. Gosh, he really feels like an older brother to me. I don't know, but I have a crush on Sir Ackles (because he's really handsome. And sexy!). And sometimes, I get the butterflies, but our closeness is different. I also feel comfortable around him. Would you believe that I'm the only student he treats like this? Oh, well. He flirts with others, but not as much. Maybe he knows I'm different. Like, I won't fall for any of his flirty acts. Maybe he also senses that I see him more as an older brother (most of the time. Sometimes, though, he's really...)

But still, I have detention.

Oh, well. Whatever.
