Dear Ex, Don't Come Near Me
Chapter 4
I woke up in the hospital. My best friend, Sarah, and Easton's parents were all there.
Only Easton was missing.
Easton didn't go missing, but he wouldn't answer anyone's calls.
His father trembled with anger, saying, "Unfilial child! How dare you hang up my call!"
His mother anxiously wiped away her tears, saying, "Where did this child go? Even though they fought, how could he just dump Daisy on the road?"
Sarah coolly said, "Daisy, let's just call the police. This can be considered a hit-and-run."
"Don't call the police. You can't call the police!" Easton's mother anxiously held my hand and pleaded, "Daisy, don't act impulsively. If the punishment is too severe, it will affect you both."
Sarah sneered and intended to say something. Then a nurse called her out to explain things.
In the ward, it was only me and Easton's parents.
I gently pulled my hand out of the hand of Easton's mother.
"Mom, I'm sorry, this is the last time I will call you like this."
"Easton and I are getting divorced."
Easton's mother was shocked. She exchanged glances with Easton's father. Both were astonished.
"Daisy, how did it come to this? You and Easton have always been getting along, right?"
"I know that Easton can be willful and disregard other people's feelings sometimes, but he is not a bad person. You have known him for almost ten years. You know him best."
"He is not a bad person."
"I thought he was not a bad person. He was just willful and immature. Then I tolerated him, waiting for him to change. Then I was covered in scars."
"You don't know where Easton is, right? I know."
I took out my cell phone, opened Kate's profile, and showed it to the two elderly people.
Kate's latest post was about grid photos with Easton. It was with a caption. [A couple taking photos like this when going out is too sweet!]
Kate was lovely and sweet, looking delicate. While Easton was tall and straight, looking at her affectionately.
The two of them were posing intimately and naturally. Standing in front of Disneyland Castle, they seemed to be a perfect match for a romantic fairy tale.
The face of Easton's mother turned pale.
His father looked stern. He called the driver, Jack, to immediately bring Easton from Kate's place.
They were quiet and gloomy.
Easton's mother tried to persuade me, saying, "Daisy, we have always treated you as our daughter after you married Easton."
"When Easton comes, we will teach him a lesson, guaranteeing that he will never dare to bully you again."
"Give him a chance. He has been spoiled by us since he was a child. He is always acting like a child!"
I lowered my eyes.
"Aunt, would you also advise her to forgive you if your daughter encountered such a situation?"
"I am a child of my parents. They just passed away, but it doesn't mean they don't love me anymore."
Easton's mother was stunned and speechless. She looked at Easton's father for help. Easton's father shook his head and let out a heavy sigh.
"Bang." The door was kicked open by someone.
Easton angrily burst in.
"Daisy, you're so capable. You managed to get my parents to cooperate with you in acting!"
"When you were talking about divorcing me, you were so tough. Now you regret it and look for me everywhere? It's too late!"
"Where is your divorce agreement? Bring it out quickly. I want to sign it!"
He threw a bunch of flowers in my face.
"Easton!" His parents shouted at the same time.
Easton turned around and said to them, "Dad, Mom, stop acting! Daisy is such a bitch..."
He was stunned before he could finish his words.
I coughed violently. Sweat rolled down my forehead. I held my chest tightly, like a desperate drowning person.
Sarah, who had just come back from outside, happened to see such a scene. She cursed and ran over to open the window, holding me and shouting at Easton, "Don't you know that Daisy is allergic to pollen? Do you have to see her die in your hands to be satisfied?"
Easton stood in shock, looking at the red rash on my face caused by the allergy. He panicked and muttered, "I... I didn't mean to. I didn't know..."
He didn't know that I was allergic to pollen.
But he knew about Kate's menstrual cycle.
My condition gradually improved. Sarah let go of me and walked up to Easton, slapping him twice.
Easton's mother wanted to hold Sarah back. She hesitated and didn't dare to approach her, seeing her out of control.
Sarah slapped a stack of report cards in her hands into Easton's face.
"Take a good look! She had severe bleeding due to an ectopic pregnancy. She just had a fallopian tube removal surgery!"
"You dragged her so far along the road. Are you still human? What's the difference between your behavior and a murder?"
Easton picked up the report. His body trembled violently.
