Dear Brother, You Never Protected Me
Chapter 2
"Hello, I am Rose Xavier's counselor. The deadline for selecting a teacher is approaching. Please inform her, because we have been unable to reach her."
Gael coldly acknowledged the message.
However, he showed no intention of calling me. The captain, Larry, couldn't help but urge him. "Why aren't you calling Rose to let her know? She has never given us a reason to worry before. How could we suddenly be unable to contact her? Call her right away and check!"
Gael nonchalantly replied, "I couldn't care less about her. It would be better if she were dead! This is all her intentional prank, disappearing to seek attention!"
Larry frowned and accused dissatisfiedly. "She is your sister! You saw the camellia tattoo, the members of the Disability Admirers Organization have resurfaced. Your father exposed them over a decade ago, and they likely hold a grudge. They might seek revenge against you. You must watch out for her!"
"Don't worry, I will protect Yara."
"I'm talking about Rose!"
Gael replied coldly, "She is not my sister. Yara is my only sister."
This was not the first time I had heard this, but I still couldn't help but take a few steps back, feeling like I was falling into an abyss.
It was strange how even the soul could sense the coldness.
"Gael, based solely on Yara's words, what makes you so certain that Rose is responsible for Stella's death? She is your only family in this world."
When mentioning Stella's death, my brother, who had always been calm and composed, lost control of his emotions, and his tone was full of hatred towards me.
"Do you know what she said when she called me two days before Stella's death anniversary?
"She said she was kidnapped and asked me to save her or she would die. But the truth is that she was eating at a seafood buffet and going shopping. Yara witnessed it all!
"Not only did she pay respects to Stella, but she also played such a cruel joke on Stella's death anniversary. She's so malicious!"
I was so stunned that tears streaming down my face immediately.
Why did Gael always believe everything Yara said?
It was clear that Yara was the murderer and a skilled liar.
Larry was right, I was indeed being targeted for revenge. They directed all their hatred for my father onto me. Their hatred and twisted minds drove them to relentlessly torture me.
They cut off one of my hands while I was still alive, violated me, branded me with hot iron, and disfigured me... They treated me like a dog, forcing me to kneel on the ground, begging for mercy.
I never understood why they were able to find me, even though I was extremely cautious and concealed my appearance whenever I went out.
Until I saw the plaster skull that looked exactly like me and the photo in the hands of the members of the Disability Admirers Organization...
