Cruise Out of Control, My Husband's Lover Cried in Fear Chapter 1

While I was steering the yacht, my husband's lover barged in and started messing with the controls, causing the yacht to go completely out of control.

She was so scared she started crying.

I calmly took over and managed to avoid a disaster.

But my husband thought I was the one driving recklessly and scaring his lover, so he tied me to the back of the yacht as punishment.

I pleaded with him, begging him to let me go, reminding him of the baby I was carrying.

But he wouldn't listen or believe me.

The yacht sped across the water, dragging me behind it, thrashing me around.

Eventually, I drowned and hit the rocks, leading to my death.

He only started crying and sobbing over my cold, lifeless body afterward.

——

"Mr. Johnson, should we pull your wife back onto the boat?"

The secretary hesitantly asked Liam Johnson.

"What are you worried about?"

Liam took off his sunglasses, glanced coldly at the secretary, and sneered. "Rachel Brown is just my lapdog. Trying to please her won't get you anywhere."

"You've misunderstood, sir. I'm just worried she might die. After all, she's been dragged behind the boat for three hours."

The secretary's mouth twitched, and sweat began to drip down his tense forehead.

"What? It's been three hours already? That fast? Well, Rachel grew up by the sea, so she should be fine."

Liam was startled at first, but then he waved it off indifferently.

What he didn't know was that while being dragged, I was tossed around so much I couldn't breathe and even smashed into some rocks.

My blood dyed the water red, attracting sharks that devoured me.

At this moment, my soul had already left my body, standing right in front of him.

The secretary tried to persuade him again, and just as Liam started to waver, his lover Fiona Smith came out from the cabin.

"Fiona, you're awake? Are you hungry?"

As soon as Liam saw Fiona, his eyes lit up, and he immediately forgot all about me.

"Liam, I want a banana."

Fiona stretched and showed off her perfect figure as she walked towards Liam. When she was almost in front of him, she suddenly let out a surprised cry and pretended to stumble.

She fell right into Liam's arms.

Liam was stunned at first, but then he smiled, clearly enjoying the moment. "Careful, Fiona, take it slow."

He was sitting there, probably feeling pretty good about himself.

Fiona lifted her head, her beautiful face blushing. With a sultry look, she said, "Good thing you are here, or I would've hurt myself.

"By the way, where's Rachel? She didn't mean to cause trouble. You should pull her back up."

Look at her, acting so fake—she clearly wanted me dead but was pretending to be a nice person.

It made me sick.

"Fiona, you're just too kind, which is why you always get taken advantage of."

Liam gazed at her lovingly, slicing up an apple and feeding it to her before continuing. "Rachel is so manipulative. While being punished, she lied and told me she was pregnant, even going as far as to fake a medical report.

"It's obvious she's been plotting this for a while, trying to hurt you on purpose. But here you are, still speaking up for her."

Fiona just smiled shyly, never once intending to tell him the truth.

I was so angry my soul started trembling, like I was about to disappear completely.

"We are supposed to be husband and wife! Why are you siding with an outsider? Is she really that important to you?"

I wasn't lying.

I really was pregnant. But since explaining was useless, to protect the baby, I had no choice but to beg Liam.

But he ignored me, saying, "If you both die, then you both die. You've only got yourself to blame for being so wicked," and then ordered my hands to be tied and fastened to the back of the yacht.

Actually, I had a slim chance of survival.

At first, the rope wasn't tied tightly, but Liam, being paranoid, had them add another knot and even hooked my clothes to the boat.

That sealed my fate.

When the yacht started moving, Liam carried Fiona in his arms and headed back to the cabin.

He didn't even look back.

He was completely heartless.

At that moment, all hope died within me, and I struggled uselessly in the water, waiting to meet my end.

Once again, the secretary spoke up, "Mr. Johnson, shouldn't we pull your wife back onto the boat?"
