Contract of Love

ALEX'S POV

Oh my God, what did I just do? What was I thinking?

Why did I hug her and kiss her on her forehead?.

I feel like I can't think clearly when I'm around her. Her vanilla scent is still lingering in my car. It's as if she's present even when she isn't.

I never thought I'd see her again. When I got out of the shower that morning and didn't see her I was mad. I even looked her up but all her social media accounts were set to private. I could've easily tracked her down but I didn't and now she works for me. Small world. I don't know what she's doing to me but I don't want it. I can't have another girl messing with my mind.

"You're home late" I hear my dad say as I walk through the front door.

"I had stuff to do and what are you doing in my house ? You can't just barge in whenever you want" I was boiling at this point.

"Can't I check on my son ?" He replied with fake worry plastered on his face.

"I think you should leave now"

"How's Arielle ?" He asked ignoring me

"I don't know, you know what went down between us, you know what she did to me" I said gritting my teeth

"Son, everybody makes mistake, just forgive her, she's genuinely sorry"

"Dad please leave"

He gave me a tight nod, patted me on the shoulder and left my house.

My mother died a few weeks after giving birth to me and my dad kept blaming me for taking his wife away from him. It was really traumatizing for me as a kid. He gave me every material thing I wanted but there was no love, time or affection for me. I grew up in the hands of nannies and house keepers. But since I made a name for myself out there, he's been coming around more and I don't want that and I really need him to stop bringing Arielle up.

I felt a vibration in my pocket

"Hello Jenna"

"Sorry to disturb you at this hour sir. Mr. Anderson called and said he'd like to meet you at the Anderson's HQ in Chicago in two weeks' time regarding the contract or he'll be giving the deal to someone else."

"Okay, we'll be there. I and Ms. Clark have been working on the presentation slides. We're more than ready. Thank you Jenna, I'll see you tomorrow".

"Okay sir"

The Anderson's contract is awarded to successful businessmen every year and I've been trying to get it for two years now but my rival keeps getting it. It's like they're always a step ahead of me but this time I'm confident we'll get it. Tasha has been working really hard on the presentation slides and I'm sure we'll get it this time.

Speaking of Tasha, I think I should call her....... or maybe I shouldn't.

She's just so beautiful and smart, with those curves that felt good against my hands, her soft curly hair, those hazel eyes that lights up when she smiles, those plump lips she bites when she's thinking, rubbing her thumb on her palm when she's nervous.

Fuck!!, thinking about her is making me hard. I don't want to notice these things about her but I can't help it, it's really difficult not too.

I need a cold shower

The shower didn't help much, I kept thinking about her in the shower with me, all the things I could do to her. Maybe I should call her, I'm probably just worried about her.

I picked up my phone and dialed her number.

"Good evening Mr. Moore, is there a problem ?" She sounded worried. Maybe I shouldn't have called.

"There's no problem Ms. Clark, I just wanted to check on you and make sure you're okay"

"I'm okay sir, thank you for checking in" she sounded a little panicked but I could hear the smile in her voice.

"Okay...... have a great night"

"You too sir"

Okay that was very awkward, I shouldn't have called but I'm glad I did.

I can't wait to see her tomorrow
